Kosovo IS Serbia, so there cannot be any discussion about partitioning what is solely serbian.

albanian wishful thinking, of getting away with the southern part of our southern province.

there is no such power on earth that could prevent us eternally from liberating our province from evil hands.

it´s just a question of time.

and...instead of the Ottomans, the western occupiers will not stay for five centuries.

Partition is inevitable. There is nothing Albanians can do about it nor is there anything Serbia can do about it. The reason that Stupid Western idiots say they are against it is that they believe they are never supposed to give in. Who cares what NATO says. Idiots!

Two months before the US left Vietnam the same press statements were being made repeatedly – “the US will not abandon its friends and South Vietnam and the US are close allies and even closer friends”.
Now what do you expect Rasmussen to say when asked about Kosovo? Naturally he will continue with the standard reply i.e. no changes. However, once a policy change is made it happens quickly so don’t hang on to Rasmussen’s words as if they are gospel.

Albanians wanted to part from Serbian rule and be independent, don't the Serbs in N. Kosovo deserve the same independence from Pristina?
(IUPM, 21 January 2011 17:33)

@ICUP

that is a desperate arguement.

The "serbian rule" kosovo became independent from, was the rule of a lunatic and dictator that robbed them ALL (albanians and serbs) of their constitutional rights, representation and powers in a nation that was NOT subject to serbian rule. that this was met with utter silence and compliance by the serbs of kosovo, speaks volumes.

Independence came from a nation reinvented by a lunatic and tyrant under the threat of terror, force and violence.

What do the minority want to part from today from the evil govt. of pristina?

The horror of equality under the law?

what do they want to part from?

the indignity of garanteed constitutional representation not only fair but ABOVE what they would get in any other democracy?

When albanians cried for what they lost...they had a litany of things to claim lost. What do these serbs cry over the loss off from evil pristina?

the loss of a madmans law they pretend they didnt support, yet quite enjoyed the apartheid they found themsleves being on top anyway? Is that the loss they seek to 'restore'?

And they are a violent minority. violent not only towards albanians but more and more towards their fellow serbs who dont happen to share their same concept of so-called "freedom"

-The Albanians in Kosovo would be happier joining Albania, but independence is a compromise. As for the Serbs in Mitrovica, they remind me of the Albanians in Presheva, Medoreva, and other Albanian towns in Serbias south.
(Valon, 21 January 2011 20:41)

Exactly to the point. If Albanians in south Serbia can live with Serbs, then that's what Serbs living in Kosova should do. Anything else is favoritism to one side. As territories both are comparable since were created during Tito's time with intention to change the ethnic balance.

The Serbs and Albanians there hate each other. This will not change any time soon.

The biggest myth kept alive, mostly on this site, Youtube and in some offices in BG and Pristina - each for a good reason.

Freedom, why would you want all those Serbs, that hate anything Albanian and do not recognize the Pristina leadership, to be a part of your Kosova? Albanians wanted to part from Serbian rule and be independent, don't the Serbs in N. Kosovo deserve the same independence from Pristina?

I don't see the point in keeping north and the rest together. The Serbs and Albanians there hate each other. This will not change any time soon.
The reason the West wants to keep it together is to prove that we all can get along in multi-cultural Europe (I am sure the presence of minerals in the North also has something to do with it). Unfortunately, multi-cultural Europe itself is failing.
NATO wants to keep the north in Kosovo as to legitimize their bombing campaign of Serbia and Kosovo.
