Serb officials in message to local KPS

This ongoing refusal to refer to the Kosovo Police by their official name and to use the corresponding abbreviation reminds me of Republicans in the US who not long ago started insisting on referring to the "Democrat Party" rather than the "Democratic Party." It sounds ugly (using a noun as an adjective when there exists a perfectly good adjective already) and illiterate, which I assume the Republicans who use the term regard as demeaning to the Democratic Party. I suppose KPS is used rather than KP with the same intention? There's probably something more petty that could be done, but it's hard to think what it might be.

It is good that Belgrade and the Mitrovica region mainly populated by the Serbs are discussing this plate-issue.

In the mean-time there is still no law in North Mitrovica, no work, no progress.

There is only banditism, smugglars, ...

And these are not the conditions to life in.

You (Kosova-Serbs) should better co-operate with Prishtina.

Belgrade is only using you folks for their own purpose.

You will become poorer and miserable after each year and finally you will leave Kosova.

Kosova-Serbs, it is up to you to decide and not Belgrade.

the reason for that is that B92 takes a political stance. Kosovo Police Service (KPS) was an inter-government institution during PISG and Kosovo Police (KP) is an executive branch of the Kosovan Government.

The neutral noun to use by a journalist would be the police (neither KPS or KP) but B92 has partnered with Tanjug (Serbian state run "journals") so lately you're going to see more "KPS" and "provincial leaders" and even "KiM" nonsense.

The good news is that majority of people have started referring to the institution as KP; that includes domestic people, officials, and international media.

The KPS are confiscating these new license plates? Let's imagine for a moment that these new plates allow legitimate traffic accross foreign administered borders betwee Kosovo and the rest of Serbia. KPS takes those plates, passes them on to criminals who need easy traffic accross these borders out of Albanian occupied Kosovo into the rest of Serbia and Europe beyond.

Hands off the new plates!

Zvecan Commandor Nenad Djuric has sent a threatening letter to his superior (Reshat Maliqi) who has suspended him until further notice --- this probably will be his departure from Kosovo Police (KP).

So it's probably either an innocent misnomer or a reminder that officially UNMIK is in charge, not the guys in Pristina.

I view it rather simple: no one knows, who is really in charge and who wants can pretend to be in charge. One child having too much caretakers.

Zoran Radunovic's (KP D/Commander for border) car was burned , just becasue he was enforcing IM Rexhepi's order. I wonder whywe did not see a news report article on this site???

tell us winston, is it not the serb position that u1244 is still in effect?

in wich case the govt. of the serbia and its institutions hold no legal authority in kosovo... that was the one thing it was always crystal clear on.

so what is your problem? serbs are violating their own position while simultaneously mewling garbage about cooperation... and you get upset when others scoff at it?


The north of Kosovo is predominantly inhabited by Serbs, of whom a violent minority who do not recognize the authority of the Kosovo government are will to use violence to make sure their fellow serbs dont participate in the one and only govt. of All the people of kosovo.


how are they going to enforce this decision?

what will they do to serbs who dont obey these self styled and self declared "mayors" and "representatives" that they didnt vote for?

the only "unease" serbs in the north feel... its toward their fellow serbs.

Here is my question? If Kosova is Serbian territory then Serbian police, military and government should be in Pristina. Period.

Last time I checked, KPS was stripping vehicles of their illegal serbian issued license plates.

Next time check more precisely and make yourself more familiar with the geography. For instance that Vranje has nothing to do with Kosovo.
