Thanks for the laugh, Propaganda Minister. You ruined any hope for the rest, not to mention that you block your neighbors. And the NO ONE cares what you think, since you almost ruined the EUROZONE. You are the kiss of death, and the joke of EU. Even Cyprys has more clout that you in EU

The European Union can and has to accept especially now, much more than ever before, in its rangs Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania, by 2014, one hundred years after the start, in the Balkans, of WWI. The perspectives of peace, security and stability in the Balkan region have to be guaranteed like this openly and clearly. The whole region needs to make big strides forward and shake off the remnants of past wars and conflicts.

Greece is a driving force behind this "Agenda 2014", an initiative to make all Western Balkans countries - EU members by 2014. This is a fully attainable goal. Completing the road towards the EU will require the countries that wish to join the European family to peacefully resolve all conflicts, respect human and minority rights and fight illegal migration, organized crime and corruption.

Regarding the very complex, delicate, and complicated issue of Kosovo what can unite us all is to be in favor of a final resolution based on the UN Charter and respect of international law.

Why should any west Balkan countries join the EU, as far as I can see it, its the EU that caused Greece/Ireland/Spain/Portugal to go under, and the other EU economies go backwards (Russia however, continues to go forwards, as does the non EU Switzerland). As far as I can see it, EU membership is a burden, all thats needed is Visa Free Travel throughout all Europe and an abolition of Work Permits for Europeans within Europe

I don't see a benefit of joining EU for the Balkans. All we need is FTA's for our goods and relaxed visa regimes for our youngsters to have the opportunity of studying elsewhere. I'm confident we can do what EU has done and better.
