Question I have for the Greeks of this forum, who might be more informed: "where is the wall going to be built? In the sea?"
(KU, 17 January 2011 00:09)
Is it difficult to imagine coast guard vessels, or Hellenic navy vessels or theHellenic Airforce patrolling the maritime border between Turkey and Greece? Of course its possible to seal the martime, air and land borders with our wonderful neighbours tot he west.
Greece cannot stop the influx of refugees because the sea border is constantly contested by Turkish naval vessels and Turkish F-16s. The Turkish government has decided to contest the borders between the 2 nations. So you see my friend KU, it is a good question, with difficult answers. The easiest solution is for Turkey to stop illegal immigration at their airports, land borders, and ports. However, my feeling is they want to destabilize Greece socially and economically.

Whoever says that Greece is not democratic is wrong. In fact people should read the article better. There was a protest by GREEK people against building the wall. Means that some GREEK people are against the wall. Followed by a protest by other GREEK people who want the wall and want to beat up the first group of GREEK people. Police was caught in the middle. Greece is not at all undemocratic. On the opposite, in my opinion, there is so much democracy in Greece, accumulated during 3000 years of having it, that now it has gotten out of the parliament and into the streets. Overflow of democracy. If you eat too much of it, your stomach will start hurting. In my opinion, less democracy is the solution for Greece, some generals are needed again. But what do I know.

Regarding the wall problem, I have a question. I looked at the map at the Greek-Turkish border. For the first time in my life. Got really surprised, had no idea that all those islands in the Egean Sea belonged to Greece. Up to the mainland, 50(?) km from Turkey. Such a long long sea border. Question I have for the Greeks of this forum, who might be more informed: "where is the wall going to be built? In the sea?"

I believe you should really think twice and start toning down your rethoric. Some of your post are even beating in their nonsense and aggresivity the one from Agim, PRM, Koso and co ! As much Kosovo do not need these trolls, I believe as much Serbia do not need them either !
Just a little paranthese, you are always praising RUS, have you ever been there, live there, work there? Yes they might have a lot to offer to Serbia, but I worked and live there for 6 years and believe me, nothing will ever come free from RUS and the hidden strings attached are time to time VERY painfull. I you really have an experience dealing with them, then we can have a productive and serious discussion, if not, it is pointless because you are missing the practical knowledge..

LOL. There are not 200,000 Chinese in Serbia. Maybe around 1/10th that figure at most.

LOL.Its generally assumed the Chinese peaked in 2000 at 100,000, when Milosevic was having a love affair with China and Belgrade was the main center for illegal Chinese immigration to Europe. They came visa free on a JAT plane anda few days later crssed into Hungary and from there to the EU.

There's probably only some 20,000 Chinese in Serbia. Any tosands above that are temporarily here and in transit illegaly immigrating to Europe.

And this is about Greece, not Serbia stick to the topic of the story.

You're so right Leo.Greece is constrained by EU human right laws and thus lost control of its borders.

Turkey is also doing its bit by transferring all those immigrants from the airports to the Greek borders. If the EU was serious in solving the problem they could've put pressure on Turkey by threatening to cancel the customs union and prohibit Turkish flights over European space.

A lot of blame for the existing problem must be directed at Greek politicians that signed the relative EU treaties.

Why is your "constructive immigration" not mentionied in one of your official statistics? Why are you afraid of to speak out the most obvious? Other countries, governments, etc. are always proud when they can speak about a successful intergration of a minority such as "guest workers". Your country, on the other hand, does not even have the balls to even say that they are even here, making them by definition "illegal" since they are not correctly registered.

What you expressed towards Greece is actually in Serbia the fact, with the difference that you are not allowed to speak out against this, since you would fall from "grace" of your Chinese masters. That is what I would call "lost of independence". Otherwise just openly admit that you have 200 000 illegal Chinese immigrants. Or maybe even more? Well, "Kosovo is Serbia" for the next years will cost another 200 000 - 300 000 Chinese, part of the "Constructive Immigration" programm, or course.

But being non-democtatic is one thing, and seeing your country being destroyed both economically and culturally and do nothing about it, is quite another...

How dose it go again O yes good fences make for good neighbours but of coarse the pathetic EU will scream bigots. Most of the "big shot" self righteous EU bigots live in their gated communities with their own upper crust mold with a lot of bread. They are willing that others to pay the enormous costs while they make totally dumb rules for the ordinary tax payers who have no choice but support the BS. The ordinary citizens work 6 to 9 months just for the out of control incompetent bureaucratic governments paying the different taxes to it. All the while the rich get richer and everyone else gets poorer and poorer whats wrong with the picture.

Welcome to the EU. Uncontrolled 3rd World...invasion. And Greece is limited by EU in what it can do. Meaning it can do nothing. Anyone who thinks this an appropriate fate for their nation simply hates their country, culture and people. I hope there are not too many such self-hating Serbs. Because you have no excuses anymore to be ignorant of the EU's reality.

In the sea?"

borders & uncontrolble 3rd World immigration to take jobs away from our Serb children, cousins & friends for generations to come. Poor Greece!
