highduck, South Stream is a dead birth. Even when it will come to reality (which is still very much questioned) it will be redundant and expensive. The LNG market is growing rapidly. Even Gazprom had to admit that it was sleeping in that area. When/If Southdream come to reality then the Russian oligarchs have to refund again the invests of 20 billion Dollars. Guess who will pay for that. I give you a hint, ... not them. And while the Russian oligarchs try to regain their invests, the LNG market will overroll everything, just as it has been stated in the Wikileaks depeches just recently.

You burnt your money and independence for nothing. Tough luck!

"...and it's from these countries that we can expect UDI retractions once the S. Stream starts flowing"

Does this mean the South Stream project will not be realized, I wonder ;-)

Good to see that our biggest trading partner in W Europe is also Russia's #1 ally there too and that it has a right-leaning govt. Germany will follow soon and it's from these countries that we can expect UDI retractions once the S. Stream starts flowing
