'Manipulated elections' in Kosovo? That's impossible. Do you think elections can be maniipulated that easy? Under the eyes of international observers? No, in Kosovo, the infrastructure for doing these things is not present! Everything has to be organized and done right on time. That can only be a lie! Besided that, there have been countless investigations, and nothing have been found! Last but not least, Godfather Thaci himself gave his word of honor that the elections fulfilled all high international standards. What else can it be: The EP is financed by Russia and Serbia! Maybe someone should check the Swiss bank accounts of Lunacek!

P.S: Thaci already announce to publish a list of all EP members ;-)

No. Totally different! In Russia under Putin, the opposition parties are hindered and harassed in advance. They don't need to shamefully manipulate elections like King Thaci thinks he's allowed to do.
(Top, 13 January 2011 18:46) ''

Always wondered how Putin manages to win so deeply in elections , didn't know he harrased oposition so openly...by Putin standart, E Hoxha elections were the most democratic ones, back then election days were followed by festive ceremonies and celebrations ...celebrating the 99% victory of revolution (1% were the traitors, who abused the democratic power that the generous proletariat provided them, but they would be discovered and punished accordingly)...

Thaci did not steal votes, probaly EULEX has a say in whole this, they need Thaci , what choise does EU have between a former yugoslav communist like mustafa, a young nationalist like kurti and a flexible politican like thaci...they did not call him snake for nothing. Even serbs would rather see Thaci in the table of negotations, rather than see Kurti in the office and not have negotiotions at all, because all his strugle is about ''no negotiations, self determinance''.

Ahhhh, but the election for Milosevic was NOT manipulated! I hope Serbians everywhere are celebrating their historic vote for Milosevic. Lift the man up on your shoulders. Your democratic process proved that you people supported his policies. Well, he brought you war in several territories and you lost. If it wasn't for Serbians in Serbia and around the world, Milosevic would have never been elected and the war in Kosovo would never have happened. Actually, every Serb that voted for Milosevic should take responsibility for the hole Serbia dug for themselves.

S.T.R. I don't think Russia would be disappointed if the EU is gradually moving towards its own position, even if it never goes that far.

If you look at history Russian USSR policy on the break up of Jugoslavija didn't have much impact on the future status of the country, although today Russia appears more powerful.

Now it seems as if we have come full circle. Of course circumstances are different; Serbia does not have a champion in Germany as Croatia did.

Nevertheless, the point is that it is institutions like the EP and CoE that tend to signal an eventual change in policy.

2011 has been a Barry Crocker or shocker should I say.. The Albanians of KIM are getting hammered with reports regarding corruption, murder, organ dealing, drug trafficking and 2011 is 11 days old.. Looks like the west will force the Albanians to negotiate a division of Kosovo in the up and comming talks.. Really when u think about it, the west had planned this one from day one.. Realistically Serbia can never take back Kosovo in a peacefully manner and nor can Albanians be expected to be intergrated in a foreign system hence the west is only left with the division of Kosovo.. Nor do the Albanians have any bargaining chips.. They have no say at all..Let's face it if it were not for the west there would no Albanians in KIM..

"severely tarnish Kosovo's image"...ummm

The sense of shock at this news is all about us...the hills echo with shame, the Doctors put down their saws and orders for lungs and kidneys have to wait, ploughmen halt their oxen whilst horror and amazement are expressed by a nation gripped by surprise and shame at what their fledgeling nation has already become.
Dr Thaci's people are still reeling from the surprise that their Great Leader learned his trade as a future Eurocrat in that doyen of pure conduct, Switzerland (how we have been fooled by the image of Roger Federer's smile and the pure white snow on their slopes of shame). His life there is revealing itself as fit for a minor John le Carre novel-the terrorist handbook in one hand, the text book of nu-democracy in the other and all the while his mind was contriving plans to become the European equivalent of a Mobutu or Omar Bongo-the perfect rentier man for the new age.

This is another bad sign for Kosovo government.

Lets remind ourselves how it all went sour for Serbia / Jugoslavija in the early 1990's regarding the EU. Reports from the Council of Europe and European Parliament increasingly pointed to lack of democracy and continually criticised Jugoslav / Serbian institutions. However, the 'grassroots' of the EU were out of touch with the EU council of Ministers ie European governments that originally supported the territorial integrity of Jugoslavija. However, slowly that changed until it was EU governments that were fully supportive of the creation of new nation states in the Balkans and against Jugoslavija / Serbia.

Now it seems as if we have come full circle. Of course circumstances are different; Serbia does not have a champion in Germany as Croatia did.

Nevertheless, the point is that it is institutions like the EP and CoE that tend to signal an eventual change in policy.

"I regret having to say this, but these two rounds of elections severely tarnish Kosovo's image which may negatively affect its EU integration," said Lunacek.

No, not tarnish. It only confirms Kosovo's image: A state that is ruled by clans who do everything to stay in power, simply to have a solid base for operating their 'business' and to be in a position to generate money for themselves or friends and family.

Of course she is right, but in a few moments we will be reading the spin and how this is Serbian propaganda. I feel really sorry for the good Kosovars who just want to survive without crime.
