I'd say it is (2) because when Mr. Gavrilovic (aka Irinej) declared few months ago that Kosovo's independence is a sin (i.e. a trasgression of the law of God), the latter could not do anything to punish those trasgressing such law !

be careful of what ? What hatred ? Where is it showing ? What are you speaking about ? I think you may have had a bad sleep at night...

Also being spiritual doesn't necessarily mean or equal believing that a God is out there to punish you on every indiscretion. Believing in a God that punishes every indiscretion is the hallmark of a religious person not necessarily of a spiritual one.
========================

You obviously have no idea what the difference between being spiritual to being religious is.

Trying so hard to discredit what I wrote and making yourself look silly in the process is exactly what you do best.
What's this "what people" rubbish you write?
What people? Anyone. No specific group. Individuals if that's what you want to hear.

Stop trying to look clever. It only does the opposite for you.

"I never said to do as the church tells you to do in order to escape punishment. "

-- This is weak peggy. Simply because punishment by God is exactly a religious argument; and an argument religion (church and mosques) base their existence on. Example: there are churches out there that maintain that using a condom is a sin and sins lead to hell. Hence if one does not follow the church's directive you cannot escape the punishment of your sin.You are punished to eternal damnation (for repeatedly using condoms).

"I think people are clever enough to know right from wrong and being spiritual doesn't mean being religious."

-- Not necessarily. There are those who would say that believing in the existence of holly sites is wrong and those who would say its right. Now when you say "people"; who do you have exactly in mind; those who say it's wrong or those who say it's right? So you see when you say "people" you are unable to define them as a single group. When you say "people" by definition you are talking about an amorphous mass; one that cannot be all lumped together.
Also being spiritual doesn't necessarily mean or equal believing that a God is out there to punish you on every indiscretion. Believing in a God that punishes every indiscretion is the hallmark of a religious person not necessarily of a spiritual one.

P.S To answer the Serb dude. As an Albanian-American born and raised in the USA; so far I didn't know I was a commie by definition because of my Albanian roots. See, it takes a Serb to figure stuff like this out; and all by himself with help whatsoever. Now to answer your question; Being non-religious equals not buying into religious dogma. Just that; and exactly just that.

Basically me or my people have never attacked religious sites. But considering there is very little separation of church and state in Serbia, I can see where any enemies of Serbia do not distinguish between the 2.

"Crude and rude comment."

-- Subjective. What is crude and rude to you; might be true and tested to others.

"Seems clear to me that when we humans use our free will we can believe or not believe."

-- Sure but believing in holy sites certainly does not equal their existence. You're free to believe that just as I'm free to point out that that's ridiculous. Pretty simple.

"We can use our free will for negative or positive purposes. "

-- This is also subjective. Some might see the claim of a place called holy by certain humans as a figment of imagination versus truth, and not positive versus negative.

"We can build or destory and we can be polite and civilized."

-- Religion does not equal being civilized. Most often than not it has equaled the opposite. Its the most polite way I could say this.

"Then there are those who chose to be rude and crude."

-- Again, subjective. There are those who don't by in religious dogma. Some might see that as differentiating between truth and myths.

If God made this earth; then isn't all of earth holy because it is his creation? If that is the case than what is the need for places that are holier than holy?

If these are indeed holy sites, God's sites, and God is omnipotent then why do they need to be protected? That leaves us with 2 possibilities.

1. These are not really holy sites and God does not care the least about them.

2. These are indeed holy sites but God is not omnipotent and cannot defend them from a stronger force. Hence humans with machine guns are needed to defend against the stronger forces that God cannot defend.

So what is it? Either way someone has to stop acting. Either get out of that beard and that weird hat and find an actual profession; or stop acting that there are holy things.

I'd say it is (2) because when Mr. Gavrilovic (aka Irinej) declared few months ago that Kosovo's independence is a sin (i.e. a trasgression of the law of God), the latter could not do anything to punish those trasgressing such law !

But in another topic...today the Kosovo Army announced it's increasing in size to match the current security needs. Where KFOR is slacking, the Kosovo Army and American soldiers will fill the void.

I guess its no surprise that this cult of death would describe the instability..that they are teh primary cause of, as "permanent"... it seems serb religious leadership have no intention of ever preaching and living in peace in the country in wich they live.

You are a religious organization or a political organization... you cannot be both.

the question is how long will people allow this cult to HIDE BEHIND the pretense of religion, and treat them as the extremist political organization they have ALWAYS been.

You would like that, wouldn't you?

If defending your religion and people is barbaric then what do you call your attacks on them?
(Peggy, 3 January 2011 00:17)
Your answer and gajos comments and mine do not match at all.
Basically me or my people have never attacked religious sites. But considering there is very little separation of church and state in Serbia, I can see where any enemies of Serbia do not distinguish between the 2.
You do not see attacks on Serbian religious sites as simply an attack on religion you see it as an attack on Serbs. If you cannot distinguish between the 2 how do expect those who you have made into enemies to.

If that is the case than what is the need for places that are holier than holy?

johny

pre 13 godina

"You don't have to believe in God to receive your punishment from him. "

-- Fear mongering and scare tactics; that is how religion survives. Do as the church/mosque says or you'll get eternal damnation. For a moment we forget that very early in the day Abrahamic religions had no notions of hell and heaven; no eternal punishment or reward. Religions are the most non-sensical things out there.

johny

pre 13 godina
