The Coptic Orthodox Church is not in communion with either the Pope in Rome nor Constantinople. They refused the Roman/Latin vision of Christ and the Orthodox vision as well. The council of Chalcedon, if I'm not mistaken, confirmed the divinity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and rightfully so.
Both the Copts and Armenians int he 5th century refused the Orthodox interpretation of our Holy Fathers. They believe in only the humanity of Christ which in my opinion destroys the entire plan of salvation. Father Athanasius writes: God (Jesus) became man, so we can become Gods.
Aside from the theology, all Orthodox nations are brothers and sisters in Christ and we should work to eliminate our differences. The entire secular world along with specific elements within it such as Freemasonry and radical Islam want to detroy the Church.

Hey Adrian , google "coptic catholics"
Often I have seen representatives of the "Coptic Catholic" Church at official and important ceremonies. They dont represent all Coptics , but the Coptic Catholics actually are in communion with Rome.

The Coptic Orthodox Church (of Alexandria) is headed by the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of All Africa on the Holy See of Saint Mark.
How could the Holy See of Saint Mark be headed by the Holy See of Saint Peter!?

@highduke
No we don't stand by our coptic brothers, because otherwise we would have done something about it in all the centuries they have suffered and still suffering.
As the oriental coptic church has rejected the findings of the Council of Chalcedon, it was separated from the current Catholic and Orthodox Churches since 451 AD. Since then the so called Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria is playing the role of "orthodox brother" of the region.
Even though I am a (Romanian) Orthodox and thus I am supposed to share the Chalcedonian view of my church, I personally agree with the copts who reject Chalcedon.

Copts are genetically the purest descendants of Anchent Egyptions and it's no coincidence that along with Greece, Orthodoxy was the modern religion of choice for the world's greatest cultures. We stand by our Coptic Orthodox brothers

point 1- " worlds greatest cultures"...such as?????. The worlds greatest cultures such as...the western democratic
the Chinese
the ancient Roman
The Holy Roman
The British
The Inian
The great African cultures
The other great Asian Cultures

Yes , we can see the common vein of Orthodoxy that they all share.

point 2 FYI - coptics also view the Pope as their head of Church.
