Marty reminds Thaci of Goebbels, Thaci reminds me of Hitler..

Desperate words from a desperate man.. why would you worry if the report is a lie?? or have you learnt well from what propaganda and lies can do??? for example the fake Racak massacre or Kosovo ALbanians deliberately crying in front of the camera on the border...

Yes Mr Thaci... your a murderous thug.. you didnt think you'd get away with your murderous policies? Time is up mr Thaci... We know your scared of being sent to the Hague..

Do you have evidence, Albanians, that Marty has some anti-Albanian agenda?
-----------------------

No, but we have plenty of evidence that he has an anti-American agenda(and probably anti-NATO)

What are you talking about? What do you mean "everyone knows about that these acussations were there", how is that a conviction? Have you any idea how many politicians around the world are in this position - take a look at Italy for example or any Balkan nation, to get a clue.

Further how can Thaci act like Hajradinaj? What is this nonsense? Hajradinaj was accused officialy by the Hague persecutors, Thaci is badmouthed by a burocrat, anti-American paper pusher who THINKS that Thaci is involved in crime. When did Hague ever asked Thaci to show up in court and he refused?

K-Alb vote for Thaci cause he does have a merit, he was a major figure that brought them independence & freedom from Serbian boot, the ultimate dream of K-Alb. As I have said before, Thaci more than anything else is a creation of Serbia. K-Alb first choice for a long time was not Thaci, but Rugova. Serbia though didn't want Rugova on the other side of the table but an adversary of its own level, and Thaci came to the rescue.

However, I am yet to see one move, or gesture, or action from Thaci that classifies him as an extremist, besides allegations and unproven accusation. Compare Thaci to other wartime leaders of the Balkans, he is way more moderate and balanced than any of them at least in apparence since no one else has proven otherwise.

Sure he is pro-Independence, which K-Alb politician is not? I am yet to se an instance in this last 10 yrs after the war, that classifies Thaci as an extremist. Maybe a speach of his, or a moment of his behaviour as post-war politician, anything.

Not only Thaci, but any K-Alb politician for that matter. I personally don't care for Thaci, I don't think he is a bright leader, but these accusations towards the Albanians have a long and well established history in Serbia, where the whole Serbian state aparatus is engaged in mud-throwing.

Be patient. The fresh batch is coming. After destruction of primary and most potent evidence it became harder to get new evidence and witnesses but obviously Marty is confident it will be produced.

Why are you in such a hurry?
(Peggy, 1 January 2011 22:19
Again, Marty's job was to investigate and bring evidence to light, all he did was rehash what has been said thus far, nothing new. Why the impatience? Probably because day after day the Serbian media and posters like you are treating this as facts and not allegations.
The question is who has the jurisdiction to investigate this? Not the Hague, without a new mandate, they are to only finish the cases already before it.
UNMIK, their justice mandate has been handed to Eulex, plus Serbia accuses it of obstruction.
Eulex, remember at the same time Marty was supposedly finding new information, they opened an investigation and said there was no evidence.
Now notice your statement "Marty is confident it will be produced"
I would think uncovered would have been a better choice of words, remember recently some arrests in Kosovo of individuals trying to pay for the production of information.
But i know what you meant to say, but still it means there is no evidence thus far but more investigating will uncover it...How many times have you criticized Bush for saying that about WMD in Iraq?

Cannot believe you actually had the guts to print that.
Your view is strictly Serbian and antiAlbanian, and cannot see anything in any other light. Over the years I have found that the people who have the largest blinders on their eyes think they are see more than the rest of the world.
I do not see Marty's report as anti Albanian at all but disappointing in the fact he continues with allegations and offers nothing but his word to back it up.
Sorry, many believed Bush on his WMD based on his word and you see how that turned out. With 18 months he should have uncovered some proof. I think more that there is another book in the works.

Thaci's poor attempts to blur the issues won't help to make Marty's report go away.

This is not about Nazi activity, this is not about any talks with Belgrade this is not about Serb propoganda, this is not about collective guilt of any ethnic group.

This is about "killing for organs just to make to make a profit" and Tachi's and et al and their association with this heinous activity.

That this won't go away tells me that there is truth to this.

pss

pre 13 godina

Surely, the Serbs gladly jump on this story now and see it as proven. It's true that he's innocent until proven guilty. But after these accusations, Thaci should better play the ball low and wait for the investigations and the court instead of insulting Marty (who was only doing his job, ordered by the CoE) and accusing him of Nazi methods. Only further investigations can bring cast iron proofs - this has not been Marty's job. And remember Godwin's law: As soon as you bring up a Nazi comparison, you have lost.
(Top, 1 January 2011 14:02)
Your posting today is a bit more accurate in a lot of points. I don't think many dismiss the possibility of the Thaci and other leaders in the KLA being involved with illegal operations to help finance the movement. Every revolutionary group has to get money and the only option is through illegal means. I truly doubt Milosevic was willing to help finance it with state funds.
The organ harvesting is the only new thing on the table. Is it impossible, not quite as most anything is possible, is it improbable, most definitely yes.
These allegations surface as the war was at end. Anyone with medical knowledge knows that 75 matches at one time or 300 over a 6 month period is too big an operation to be done from a warehouse in Albania is fiction material at its best.
The best transplant centers in the world do less than 300 in a year and they have a very sophisticated system in order to achieve success. It is not as simple as person A needs a kidney go pick one out of a box and give it to him.
I do believe Thaci should step down (for the sake of a country he has worked very hard to make independent). There are people who can do the job of leading Kosovo into the future.
Will Thaci ever be convicted of "alleged connection to organized crime in the 90's probably not.
Will Thaci ever be convicted of implications in organ harvesting, most definitely not. As Marty in is 18 month investigation has said the few willing to talk to him off the record will never testify in public.
You see this as a accusation against Thaci and not Kosovo (or so you say) read the comments of at least 90% of the other Serbian posters. They see it as either justification of the actions of Serbia against the Kosovo people, or a total vindication for Serbia. Eventhough it was not suppose to have happened until the end of the occupation by Serbian forces.

"When they accused Hajradinaj a few yrs back, it was not like this, they asked him to show up in court and he did. He quit his position as PM, did not hide, and gave up himself. They should have done the same with Thaci."
(Deni, 1 January 2011 11:51)

I think it happened like that: After Kosovo Albanians have been that smart to vote for Thaci again (let's ignore the election fraud thing now), it was high time to stop him. Everybody knows that most of these accusations (trafficing, drug and weapon sales, mafia..) have been there for years, only the organ harvesting story was added. And even that one was at least known since Del Ponte's book. But no serious investigations have been done, on the contrary, Albania and Kosovo hindered and blocked all investigations in the case. So, the only way to call for serious investigations has been the "big bang" method.

If Thaci would have acted like Haradinaj and immediately put his position as PM at least on hold, much damage would have been avoided. It's only him who tries to push the story about "anti-independence networks". Marty himself has said it very clearly: The report was not against Kosovo and Albanians, but against a crimnal network and its leaders. It's only Thaci who's trying to make these connections betweem him and his crime group and Kosovo. Maybe only logical, with his "I am the state" ideology.

Do you have evidence, Albanians, that Marty has some anti-Albanian agenda? You say that Marty has no proof at all. Well, do you have proof of your accusation? Don't forget that Marty has a great deal of credibility in the West, you know that part of the world you Albanians are so desperate to join.
When the time comes that there is a full investigation, we will find out who is right and who is wrong. Thaci likes to say there were investigations. Unfortunately, as we already know, these investigations were never fully realized because people failed to cooperate. Thus, although there were some minor investigations, a full investigation is required. Marty's report is a blueprint for the full investigation. Again, if he is completely wrong, we will find out. However, I don't believe he is a lunatic. For if he were a lunatic, he wouldn't be in power; he'd be on an antipsychotic medication. Do you have evidence that he is a lunatic? Was he a lunatic when he revealed the CIA prisons in Europe? Evidently, to the vast majority of European countries and the civilized world, he's not a lunatic. So, stop being so jingoistic; learn to be objective.

So: What will come next? Any bets?
(Top, 31 December 2010 13:52)

Oh come on, who are you fooling here. If it was about the crime groups then why did they turn it into a Public Relation affair, in a critical time for Kosovo Albanians as they campaign for more recognitions.

When they accused Hajradinaj a few yrs back, it was not like this, they asked him to show up in court and he did. He quit his position as PM, did not hide, and gave up himself. They should have done the same with Thaci.

Now we have a European paper pusher with his mambo jambo politics/reports, of accusations for crimes without considering at all the fact that everyone has the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty, but this freak, Dick Marty wants to claim them guilty before proven innocent.

And of course you see the Serbs now jumping out of their seats justifying their crimes and even claiming innosence... I mean the Lords of the Ring of ethnic cleansing, mass murder, mass graves now are all clear and free ... did you hear the news.

Dialogue and negotiations should start. So far, organs extraction and trafficking are just allegation. However,at some point, during the investigation, which must continue, the evidence against Mr.Thaci may be strong enough to warrant his arrest. In that case, all dialogue and negotiation should stop, until the case is judicially dispose of.Contrary to Mr.Thaci hope,
suppression of evidence,in this case is practically impossible.Just remember these words Mr.Thaci I will write them in Serbian because they rhyme better:'Zaklela se zemlja raju da se svake tajne znaju"
Mr. Thaci is bashing Joseph Goebbels and Nazi, these "nice people"were allies of Kosovo Albanians in W.W.II,What ungrateful ally!

Well talks have very often been held in much worse conditions and poisoned climates. During Rambouillet, the Serbian military was already preparing the attack on civilians and Thaci not only was not a head of government but outlaw (according to serbia), living in the woods and mountainss. And talks were held anyway because they were necessary. It is a bad environment to hold talks right now, Tadic would be talking to a person who "sold organs of innocent people" in the eyes of Serbs. Thaci would be talking with people who are accusing him of being a criminal and who have arrest warrants for him. But this is not 1999, so maybe they both can wait until this thing is cleared up, in one way or another. What if it is proved beyond any doubt that Thaci did indeed sell organs, what value would his signature on the agreements following the talks have for the Serbian government? Has Tadic thought this through? Or does he know something people in his government are not saying?

I think the accused one should simply help speeding up any form of investigations instead of threatening Marty (and insulting him and the intelligence of the readers). Until then, the best would be to simply shut up and not issue a story like "this report is against XXXX" and "against YYY" and "against ZZZ" and "against the whole world" every other day. And no, the real evidence and actions won't come from Beograd. That's the job of some EULEX/UN investigation/prosecution team.
(Top, 31 December 2010 15:49)
First I don't think Thaci is calling the news sources like B92 to give this infomation but is more likely in response to constant bombardment of questions. I can only imagine how you would be quick to respond on his cowardice if he were to just say "no comment". Then it would be why is he silent if he has nothing to hide. So I think it is safe to say any response would be unacceptable to you.
Both UN and EULEX have looked at the same evidence Marty has and have come back and said there was nothing credible there. Do you really expect them to be the ones to investigate this again esp when Serbia keeps accusing UNMIK of coverup.
In what way do you expect Thaci to help speed up any investigation. (Start one on his own??) I can only imagine your reaction to that one.
To those of you who have hoped this was true because you think it someway absolves the Serbs of their action over the 10 years prior, no matter how tragic it may be it, it does not undo any of it nor does it change the fact that Kosovo deserves independence from Serbia.
I don't see your many comments about how ridiculous the constant claims of innocence and accusations of conspiracy from Karadzic are. Me thinks you are bit toooooo Serbian to see clearly.
By the way I do not think Thaci is the person to lead Kosovo forward and should the organ harvesting ever be proved that he should suffer the same consequences as Karadzic and Mladic and other criminals in the balkans. But I don't buy that they have not released the "real" evidence theory.

The reality will be bliss

WOW!!! No end to hastiness, is there now?! Why don’t you folks deal with your own political lead, which is politically, morally and financially corrupt in many different ways and leave Kosovars to deal with their own problems. Just go back 11 years and remember what your military directed by your fascist regime (ongoing….) did, and rethink your thoughts before you make a comment. Personally I’m not a big fan of Thaci, but more trash you keep throwing at him just makes me a bigger fan of him. All these “allegations” that the Serbian political machinery is spitting out about Kosova and Thaci, are nothing but a mean to sway your minds from their own wrong doings. If he in any way was involved in any of the so called “Marti allegations”, I’m the first one to vote so he can get the maximum sentence possible, even if that includes a death penalty. But in the mean time, you folks have thousands of “Thacis” that you need to indict before talking trash about a legitimately elected president.
You take care of your own and we’ll do the same, just stay away from Kosova as we sure don’t want you back.

I believe others in Kosovo, not Thaci, were (much more) involved in the kidnapping and imprisonment of Serbs, some of whom were later used for their organs.

I seem to recall that one of the brothers of either Haradinaj or Ceku was deeply involved.

I think Thaci was more involved in drugs and guns, but he is getting most of the blame because some in the west (seems the British and Swiss) don't like the fact that a thug like him won the elections. He's a criminal, but not as mean, cruel and sadistic as many others who are walking around free today in Kosovo.

"He stressed that the report represented an attack on the upcoming dialogue between Belgrade and Priština."

Imagine that. That a report from the official Investigator for the Council of Europe which carries weight and obvious credibility, directly linking Thaci with terrible crimes, would somehow taint discussions.

This is not some sort of tabloid rumour which can be dismissed and brushed under the carpet. There should be no negotiations, certainly with him, until this matter has been fully investigated.

I get the distinct impression that many in Kosovo would prefer someone other than Thaci to negotiate on their behalf.

This man directly threatened Dick Marty, so hardly surprising that Marty didn't meet with him. And Tadic meeting with Thaci would be a slap in the face to his people.

The talks have to be about status and a mutual solution found. Everybody in the international community knows this.

That's not to say that terrible atrocities did not take place, but they happened on both sides and the entire Serbian popoulation were dehumanised in order for Clinton, Blair & co. to achieve their political goals.

In the meantime, the truth about these terrible crimes needs to come out, and the world told that it was misled with lies and distortions. That's not to say that terrible atrocities did not take place, but they happened on both sides and the entire Serbian popoulation were dehumanised in order for Clinton, Blair & co. to achieve their political goals.

Thaci speaks of Goebbels - the best example of that was the distortion of truth used by Blair and his spinners.

Wrong Senor Slippery Snake...the report doesn't put talks at risk, the removal of Serbian organs for money puts talks at risk. The report simply exposed your criminal participation and leadership of this most horrific nazi like crime.

Gutter ball you are thaci..and all those who support you and defend you.

"every day for last three weeks there have been an artikal about thaqi here. Hey Top how long do you think people should wait for some real evidence and some concrete actions from beograd before this report is consider fake?"
(fez, 31 December 2010 14:52)

I think the accused one should simply help speeding up any form of investigations instead of threatening Marty (and insulting him and the intelligence of the readers). Until then, the best would be to simply shut up and not issue a story like "this report is against XXXX" and "against YYY" and "against ZZZ" and "against the whole world" every other day. And no, the real evidence and actions won't come from Beograd. That's the job of some EULEX/UN investigation/prosecution team.

Cannot believe you actually had the guts to print that.
Your view is strictly Serbian and antiAlbanian, and cannot see anything in any other light. Over the years I have found that the people who have the largest blinders on their eyes think they are see more than the rest of the world.
I do not see Marty's report as anti Albanian at all but disappointing in the fact he continues with allegations and offers nothing but his word to back it up.
Sorry, many believed Bush on his WMD based on his word and you see how that turned out. With 18 months he should have uncovered some proof. I think more that there is another book in the works.

Thaci:Report putting dialogue at risk"

Yes Mr Thaci... your a murderous thug.. you didnt think you'd get away with your murderous policies? Time is up mr Thaci... We know your scared of being sent to the Hague..
