Among the amendments that will be adopted is the one against a proposed hike in VAT on computers and hotel services. The government, which proposed the increase, has in the meantime withdrawn its proposal.

So the taxes for Serbian citizens will increase? Imagine being a Kosovar minority getting double pay, no taxes, and not paying utility bills (excuse: "we're not used to it"), while your taxes increase for such reckless spending.

Should I go into the fact that most loans in Bg are in EUR while promise-after-promise the Dinar keeps sliding off (inflation). The Bg govt keeps saying that the economy is growing (predicted at 4%) but inflation keeps staying between 6-7% percent.

I don't foresee Serbian standards remaining at this level...hell at this rate in about a decade, maybe two max Serbia will become the next Greece.

Don't take my comment as an impeding doom, I am only stating that Serbs should demand fiscal transparency from their government or else they will have to take to the streets like their cousins in Helena.
