This sounds more like a tourist and history center than a church and so I don't see why the Serbian Orthodox Church should take over this project.
And some say the reasons for the harassment and accusations against certain Orthodox priests and monks - especially in Kosovo - are to remove those that oppose dialogue with the Roman Catholics. So in other words there is a lot of politics behind the scenes and the Serbian government, with pressure from the west, is behind some of the things going on.

rational and peaceful dialogue to overcome differences is exactly what Christ would expect from his Church(es). Well done to the far sighted and courageous religious leaders in this context. No doubt , as eveident below , small minds will violently oppose any peaceful progress. But that will be short lived - they will be isolated and ignored in time.

Maybe the Vatican can learn how to be a real church from our example but I doubt it, bc the Catholics don't grasp the importance of having an ethnic church and a theology based on individual guilt. They can start by terminating relations with Orthodox 'Uniate' congregations they stole from us in Ukraine

"Partiarch Irinej and Niš Mayor Miloš Simonović signed an agreement on the transfer of city-owned land on Vinik Hill to the SPC, which would use it to build a religious complex devoted to the memory of Constantine the Great. "

Oh god, Macedonians with Aleksanderski, and the Serbs with their Constantinovic.

And then you will change all your history again by following blind priests that want only more land and power, they are taking it from the normal everyday people!

Sad :(
