The Belarus opposition braved a possible backlash from authorities and held a rally for those arrested after Alexander Lukashenko re-election, says euronews.

"Liberal Extremist" smells me the same way. And the naivity of the O.P. is beyond my belief, but let it be. "Батка" is highly controverse, also looks like a prostitute for me if it's about foreign politics.

And of course has nothing to do with orthodoxy. Heck, he was (and still is) de-facto a commie.

But sure, what he does is useful... for Serbia. Also "Батка" avoided a large-scale sell-out of his country. That's probably all the positive I can say about him.

The opporition are liberal extremists of the Otpor variety. Lukashenko represents the interests of Orthodox White-Russians.
