WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been chosen as the Person of the Year by the readers of the French daily Le Monde.

Oh, I remember, not so long ago, someone complained about this year's peace nobel prize being only political, and that the receiver hasn't done anything for the peace. In case of Assange being next years winner, it would be a totally different case, of course! LOL :)

Assange has placed himself in danger because of his determination to expose the so called journalists as government compliant stooges. You only have to watch the PBS news hour program which is supposed to be “independent” to see what a joke the free press is in the US.
For a couple of weeks now the US has been trying to brush Wiki Leaks off as insignificant, Joe Biden ripped the cloak off that story to disclose their near panic state.
But the most satisfying of all is that the US reputation is now non existent and will never recover from this blow and will be seen in the same light as a dictatorship.

Mainstream “journalists” loathe Assange because he has exposed them as establishment compliant.Anybody watching the John Pilger documentary recently where Julian Assange was interviewed would understand that this guy is putting his life on the line to expose governments around the world. That makes him, a unique person and one I support wholeheartedly and he deserves to be voted the person of the year.
As Assange said in the interview the USA are rampant at the moment and we are living in very dangerous times.In my opinion they are so frightened of the truth becoming public because they know people would revolt.The puppetry would be made clear and the public would be bradishing the scissors to cut the strings.
I cannot wait to see the next wikileaks revelations which,as reported,will expose the bailout fraud of certain US financial institutions.
