US and Canadian family court systems are completly taken over by criminal organisation called AFCC (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts).
AFCC criminals are using CPS (Child Protection Services) in US or CAS (Children Aid Societies) in Canada) to steal kids from wealthy families and than they use stolen kids as hostages in shake down scams that they run in Family courts in US and Canada. In one recent case in Canada AFCC crooks ripped off senior pilot with Air Canada for over half a million dollars in legal costs (18 days long family court trial for father and older kids right to see and communicate with youngest daughter/sister).
See:
http://www.canlii.org/en/on/onsc/doc/2007/2007canlii20279/2007canlii20279.html

Serbian government is already paying ransom to AFCC crooks by paying American lawyer (member of AFCC) for his "efforts" to get Nastic's children back from other AFCC crooks(children are held by other AFCC members).

This is not so much cultural as a witch hunt. I am American and I can assure you that nearly every person (over age 30 at least) in the US has the same photos of themselses in the bath taken by their parents. The judge has photos of himself, he has taken photos of his own kids, and all the child service advocates have the same photos as well.

But then they arrest people because the computer repair guy was illegally snooping through the customer's private files, which he had no right to be doing.

Everyone involved in this knows the parents are not guilty of everything, yet they go through this ritual destruction of their lives and derive a perverse self righteous pleasure from doing so, which comes from their evangelical training.

Stockton is not laid back metropolitan California. It is the central valley, very rural, agricultural area. Drugs and Mexican gangs have taken over this area in the last 20 years and nearly every police officer is getting kickbacks from the local drug dealers, or is protecting family members that are involved in trafficking. The judges are corrupt as well. There is also a modest amount of child sex slave trafficking in the area, with victims being young latin american girls, and eastern european teenagers. These crimes never get prosecuted because the judges are customers of the bordellos.

I don't know how to solve this for you, americans also get arrested for this. It's whether you know the right people. If this Serbian family was drug traffickers and had paid off the right cops, they could have gotten away with murder. Since the police let the criminals run free, to create the illusion something is being done about crime, they arrest innocent people who have little chance of defending themselves, such as immigrants with few local connections.

You know how corrupt things are in Albania? That is Stockton.

Plese help us get Governer Schwarzenegger's attention to this case. You can email him at http://gov.ca.gov/interact
Please put names Vuk and Verica Nastic at to top of the letter, because I doubt they will read the letter to the end.
We are not trying to say that these people are innocent but taking children away for six months against their wish, and without a proof that parents did indeed do something wrong is not right. The pictures are not the proof, because we Serbians all take nude pictures of our children and nudity itself has nothing to do with pedophillia.

Perhaps what would help in this case, more than the Serbian Government or any other office, would be if all Serbians, especially these in USA, who have the pictures of their small children naked on the beach or bath tub, have sent the Judge of this Court these innocent pictures, to assist him in understanding the cultural differences. What can they do? Arrest all of us? I strongly believe this would be the strongest voice for this misfortunate family. Here, I can be the first one!

"I was indeed thinking, the couple did live in some sorry place in Mississippi. But for my defense I have to say, there are certain areas in CA which aren't better than Bible Belt - I am thinking about some places in Central Valley.

Now of course I am curious, WHERE in CA did it happen. Hope, it wasn't in Santa Clara or San Mateo County.

If it happened around Oakland, Richmond, San Bernardino or certain outskirts of LA the couple is probably in serious trouble because these areas are heavily crime-ridden. Switching in Serbian Embassy would be the best idea."

Stockton, CA - I don't have any feel for places out there, to me it's just a sound.

"And absolutely no excuse for two things:

1) not taking the drive out of the machine"

It was a company computer, the father was having trouble and took it to be repaired, that's the only way the pictures were discovered. I think the law is that people are required to report potential evidence of child abuse. It was a dumb place to keep personal information. (I tried to find the story with the details - I read it just a day or so ago. I thought it was in English, but Google is no help. Maybe Blic?)

"2) was the entire procedure court approved? Who has authority to look up the pictures?"

Nobody went looking for the pictures, they were discovered by the repair people. As I understand it, they didn't have any choice about notifying the police.

"One more thing - very depressing. On several occasions I had a case when a criminal did set up a false auction on eBay which was de-facto an illegal gambling. If you remember the infamous "mystery auctions" - these were the ones. eBay for obvious reasons did very little to stop the criminals - and to my dismal no one was interested at California State either.
Kind of odd... This couple having major problems, but not obvious scamsters.

(Je¿ santaklarowsky, 21 December 2010 22:16) "

Yeah, it's a mess. Telling the cops that his son took the pictures was a really, really bad idea - it made it look like they had something to hide. Maybe they would have had problems in any case, but cops react very badly to being lied to. Now the mother can't even speak Serbian when she visits the kids - they're afraid she'll try and concoct some story. I suppose.

Scamsters are a nuisance, but people who pimp out their kids are a hell of a lot worse. And the authorities are apparently working on the assumption that this is what was involved. Or could have been involved. Or might someday be involved. Ye Gods and little fishes, what a mess.

I should throw away my childhood pictures so they'll not have evidence against my grandmother. She was proud to show those pictures in the neighborhood. Later I was desperately hiding those pictures from my girlfriends. You see., everything looks like sexual abuse. Maybe I should sue my grandmother?

If I do this in Serbia I'll probably finish at Psychiatrist chair.

Maybe we should imprison some US embassy employees., for any reason not compatible with our culture (there's many).

I remember when I was in a beach restorant in Montenegro with some Americans and the neighbour table was full of "our people" who teased a five year old son of theirs and told him "to show his little Johnny"...
Everyone laughed about it as it was a joke, however the Americans were horrified and couldn`t believe what they just saw and asked me why nobody called the police?

BTW, Hedge', this didn't happen somewhere in the Bible belt, but in your own California. The father's mistake was originally lying about who took the pictures, saying his son did it and that he, the father, didn't know anything about it. It must just have sounded very bad.

Kind of odd... This couple having major problems, but not obvious scamsters. And eBay itself is a mafiosi organization. If you think about: the entire concept to charge a percentage for the auction instead a prix fixe means they are an auction side... without State license. They could get away with that - I assume, with massive "lobbying" (= corruption). You can see Mag Whitman in some politically interesting places, by the way.

(Ment, 21 December 2010 16:49) "

I also hope things work out for them all. And that others coming from abroad become aware of the situation and remember to do as the Romans do when in Rome.

Something else to consider: America may go (well, does, occasionally, go) overboard on trying to prevent the sexual abuse of children, but how many pedophile rings have been broken up in sexually-liberated Europe? In this family's case it sounds like the child-protection services wasted a lot of time that they should have been using to visit children placed in foster-care or who are in potentially dangerous homes. But every once in a while some over-worked case worker is found to have over-looked behavior that later ends in the death of a kid, and all hell breaks loose. So they make rules trying to cover all possible cases, and things like this happen.

BTW, Hedge', this didn't happen somewhere in the Bible belt, but in your own California. The father's mistake was originally lying about who took the pictures, saying his son did it and that he, the father, didn't know anything about it. It must just have sounded very bad.

The rule #1: THE PICTURES OF YOUR KIDS ARE MORE PRIVATE THAN YOUR BEDROOM SECRETS.

Even if you are lucky (like the overwhelming majority of the immigrants) and aren't exposed to the hell of American justice like the Swiss-American couple from Colorado Springs or this Serbian couple: there could be always some sicko around who could be GENUINELY interested in your kids.

Luckily, "neighborhood watch" is very common and that helps. America is a wonderful melting pot and there are so many "mixed" kids.

The prudish puritan customs and morale "official" America expects fire back: more taboos = more sick and twisted peders

I do not believe in guns. A big, protective Šarplaninac is a better idea!

If it's about sex Americans seem to be cavemen. American wife, husband, g/f, b/f is not 100% hopeless case tough - needs a lot of European training.

I am very sorry for the couple, they fight a fight they just can't win because on the other end it's a pure insanity and a law system where prosecutors have vested interest to win, regardless of the obvious.

A similar case happened few years ago in Colorado Springs, the involved were from Switzerland. At the end the grandma smuggled the child out of the hell (it's what U.S. became for them) back to Switzerland.

It became a diplomatic nightmare and at the end the U.S. authorities backed. But the Swiss-American couple did not return: they said, they will never set their foot in America.

In both cases the most important rule was violated: WHILE IN AMERICA GUARD YOUR PRIVACY 7/24.

Vuk

This is very well said and I agree...

"In our culture children are perceived as completely asexual and it isn’t unusual that they take baths with their parents. It is nothing unusual that they are photographed and I believe that everyone has in their family album their own naked photo (as a child), or their child’s. It does not produce any erotic feeling, they are just perceived as little kids. I believe that the Americans must understand those differences. As a nation, we touch, hug and kiss more than some other northern nations," says Trebješanin.

This for me makes more sense than parents living in a state of paranoia regarding what they can and cannot do with their kids.

If you think about: the entire concept to charge a percentage for the auction instead a prix fixe means they are an auction side... without State license. They could get away with that - I assume, with massive "lobbying" (= corruption). You can see Mag Whitman in some politically interesting places, by the way.

Americans are nuts and like to blow the wrong things out of proportion always and make a big deal.

Yet of really big deals, like the Kosovo president stealing and selling orgasms of Serbs they ignore. Classic America.

I would say "COUNTY", not "countRy". Stockton is pretty backwards place to say the least.

If you will some locals there that the "cat lick communist Polish Pope is from Alabamia and he wants to destroy Jesus" - than they will believe you.

Maybe I should consider this kind of profession... $39.95/hour turbo-sermons preaching about the danger of catlick communist pope from Polish Alabamia?

Not a new idea, the sad is that at least half of Americans don't see this one

Perhaps what would help in this case, more than the Serbian Government or any other office, would be if all Serbians, especially these in USA, who have the pictures of their small children naked on the beach or bath tub, have sent the Judge of this Court these innocent pictures, to assist him in understanding the cultural differences. What can they do? Arrest all of us? I strongly believe this would be the strongest voice for this misfortunate family. Here, I can be the first one!

This is a witchhunt of massive proportions, the "child advocates" make a fortune so they keep this scam going.

A teacher in Switzerland was molesting the daughter of an Albanian, to hide this the father was accused of doing that and brainwashed his daughter. The teacher ended up dead in a few hours and there's not an Albanian feels bad for that teacher. .

In Italy thy were massive protests by Albanian immigrants when police accused an Albanian couple of 'pedophilia' for teasing their little boy about their private parts, something everyone does in Albania and probably Balkans.

I know that taking pictures of naked boys is normal in Balkans...
Different mentalities,what can you do...
I hope he gets his kids back...

BTW, Hedge', this didn't happen somewhere in the Bible belt, but in your own California. The father's mistake was originally lying about who took the pictures, saying his son did it and that he, the father, didn't know anything about it. It must just have sounded very bad.
(Amer, 21 December 2010 18:28)

I was indeed thinking, the couple did live in some sorry place in Mississippi.

Switching in Serbian Embassy would be the best idea.

And absolutely no excuse for two things:

1) not taking the drive out of the machine
2) was the entire procedure court approved? Who has authority to look up the pictures?

One more thing - very depressing. On several occasions I had a case when a criminal did set up a false auction on eBay which was de-facto an illegal gambling. If you remember the infamous "mystery auctions" - these were the ones. eBay for obvious reasons did very little to stop the criminals - and to my dismal no one was interested at California State either.

I remember an Albanian couple landing in hot water over the same type of thing in Texas a few years ago.

The lack of common sense in this country is amazing sometimes...and then again, some dude in Colorado just got arrested for publishing a manual on pedophilia...which was temporarily available on Amazon as well.

I think he plans to defend himself on "free speech" grounds. With the conservative idiot judges we have nowadays, I would not be surprised if he actually wins...while this couple could well lose. Sick.

I hope things get resolved for the best for this couple.

Best luck to them. :(( I think, every nation has it's own horror story about sex in America. Sometimes I have my doubts how people multiply in the Bible Belt. Luckily if in America, our place is safely in some very mixed and colorful West Coast communities. Precisely these open-minded communities have the lowest number of sex offenders, by the way.
