Beside trying to be funny I don't know how much you know about accounting. In my big brokerage firm a big boss could not siphon off millions so easy by telling his secretary "please send these 5 or 10 millions to my offshore account. Things like the Maidoff case occasionally happen but it is not like in Greece.
Joe

Your English seems to vacillate from very poor to quite good so I imagine you don’t write all of “your’ commentary. I doubt that you have even been in a brokering firm except to clean the offices after hours.

This statement alone tells me you do not have the faintest clue what your talking about “For the non-working poor the unemployment and other support is extended again and again...recently it was up to 99 weeks..” It’s as if money appears out of thin air – 700 billion here a trillion over there and all on credit.

You might want to put your son on instead, I’m sure he will make more sense than you.

Just hang onto your US, 2011 is going to be even more interesting – the tax cuts designed to kick start the US economy is not going to work. Print more money.

Your boss could simply produce a phoney invoice for his fees or any supposedly extra work he did and the millions could be credited to his account.Remember what Dick Foulds the CEO of Lehman said to the senate committee when they asked him about his $700 million fees over 5 years. His answer was he waas worth every single penny of it.

You say that cases like mantoff's happen
only occassionally.I disagree. What about Enron? What about Fanny Mae and the securitization of micky mouse mortgages?

"parasitic elites working tirelessly to siphon off even more wealth for themselves"

Little contradiction here Leonidas. Parasites are generally not working. But those you mention working "tirelessly".
If they work "tirelessly" don't they deserve the big money? Beside trying to be funny I don't know how much you know about accounting. "When the American economy and the American people have been sucked dry, they will retire somewhere on some low tax tropical island."

Wow! That island will be sure overcrowded. Also if a place is in high demand the prices go up and a small shack can cost 1,5 millions like in San Diego. How will those poor Americans be able to afford it?

My message to Joe and others is "the downward trend of the US economy is now irreversible".

Because of that I am waiting with the purchase of a condo on the oceanside in Palm Beach. The prices are already phenomenal. Next year they s/b even better.

"Next stage will probably see the emergence of a rightwing/fascist administration"

Generally they have nice military marches.

I can clearly see the sparkles in Tachi's eyes, but not in Biden's. I am surprised that you missed the obvious matching ties, shirts, and the black suits. I wish I could see their shoes and underwear. This photo is epic! I suggest you write on your t-shirts: Two Snakes Doing the Russian Bear Hug.
If you plan to market your t-shirts to the KAs, leave the snake tongues out and print the photo as is. I suggest that you title it Joe the Mouth and Tachi the Snake; in my opinion,it would really appeal to the mentality of many KAs.

I think I better quit for now while I am ahead, or JB might come barging into my house to grab me and yank me off somewhere. I've read that he has a mean temper and threatens people when they don't give in to his demands. Besides, look who he has for friends.

We all know the hurtful things he said about the Serbs(while many of them still mourning their dead) and the feelings he harbors towards them--it's not a secret--it's all over the internet,in print, and on tape, as I "wish" this post with the link of the photo would be, as it would reveal at least two players involved in Serbia's land theft, and bombing of innocent civilians.

all this under Obama? I think you drank too much rakia.

Who would protest? Not the big working majority. They don't have it easy but there is no "savage" drop in their living standard.
For the non-working poor the unemployment and other support is extended again and again...recently it was up to 99 weeks..
The very rich? Actually they suffer a lot. They have to dump some of their multimilion dollar mainsions for a sang. If you as a rich Serbian expate can help out some of them by buying some property they would greatly appreciate.

You're so right but unfortunately Joe and others cannot really see what is happening in US today.

What Eisenhower - a Republican president - warned about, has happened.

The US has been taken over by the Military/Industrial/Wall Street complex - and they and their pals call all the important shots. What we now have is a small number of parasitic elites working tirelessly to siphon off even more wealth for themselves, to be invested in offshore tax havens so that it can someday be inherited by their feckless offspring.

When the American economy and the American people have been sucked dry, they will retire somewhere on some low tax tropical island, congratulating themselves at their own cleverness.

My message to Joe and others is "the downward trend of the US economy is now irreversible".Next stage will probably see the emergence of a rightwing/fascist administration which will have to deal with street battles.

To those that have until now doubted that the Wiki Leaks emails have not damaged the US in a big way, here is your living proof and it comes in the form of Joe Biden. The US has spent a lot of time and effort in trying to play down the daily releases of confidential cables, but to no avail because the US reputation has been dealt a devastating blow from which it cannot recover.

For the life of me I never understood why Biden was picked as vice President because this man is a bumbling incompetent who is accident prone and worst of all makes political gaffs that must make Barak Obama cringe. This statement would have to be counted as his biggest blunders ever – he has officially disclosed that Wiki has damaged the US administration. That’s why I have a lot of respect for Obama.

Hey, Joe Biden I hate to tell you that your slip is showing but your peeing on the very thing you keep on telling us you guys stand for – free speech and democracy.

Funny when things don’t go their way and they are in a tight spot the US behaves just like Iran or North Korea.

Ouch, two problems in one sentence.

Problem #1: not sure, who decides, someone is innocent or guilty:

a) you, me, American Administration, Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter
b) court which has the jurisdiction over the case

Problem #2: curious, when did last time a court in America decide, torturing guilty ones is OK?

I have grown to detest that classification, "terrorist". It is so relative that it looses meaning. In the context of the U.S. a terrorist is anyone that goes against their narrow capitalist interests. Such a simple minded regime.

Ataman, you hit the nail on the head. Torture is evil, no matter which gov't is doing it. Are people so shocked that the US would resort to such tactics -- now or ever? Do people really think that the Americans have never played dirty games in the pursuit of objectives?
Naturally, maximum power is the ultimate goal of any gov't, and any gov't will do what it can to protect what power it has.
And surely, it will always claim to do the right thing along the way.

Assange could target any country and find the same dirt. I, for one, would be interested to see cables published about all the Milosevic years. I wonder what level of enthusiasm Serbs would have for Wiki Leaks then.

Anyway, I think the US and the rest of the world ought to be a lot more concerned about the current economy than Wiki Leaks. Any Americans/Canadians see 60 Minutes last night?

Take few minutes and decide: do you support American interests or American political establishment.

If you decided, ask yourself a question: does American political establishment ( = administration more-less) support own interests or interests of the country.

Finally: torture is bad if it is done by Serbs or Russians and just the right thing if done by Americans. Or maybe all kind of torture is evil?

It is fairly obvious what the US are up to here. They are mentally torturing Bradley Manning until he does what they want - implicate Julian Assange. The US is no better than Iran when it comes to human rights.

We have two very brave people here. The fact that these leaks have "made it more difficult for the U.S. to conduct its business around the world" - as Biden suggests is excellent news. The world's biggest bully needs to be taught a good lesson.

In this case, torture means only one hour of TV per day. And no Internet. I wonder how long he can possibly hold out?

"parasitic elites working tirelessly to siphon off even more wealth for themselves"

Little contradiction here Leonidas. Parasites are generally not working. But those you mention working "tirelessly".
If they work "tirelessly" don't they deserve the big money? Beside trying to be funny I don't know how much you know about accounting. In my big brokerage firm a big boss could not siphon off millions so easy by telling his secretary "please send these 5 or 10 millions to my offshore account. Things like the Maidoff case occasionally happen but it is not like in Greece.

"Assange closer to hi-tech terrorist"

Well, here we have a photo of Biden with a lo-tech terrorist. Check -> [link]
(Zoran, 20 December 2010 13:48)

Thanks for the link Zoran. What a Kodak moment of don't ask don't tell. Was this before the French kiss or after?LOL Check out the other dude hanging his head in embarrassment. Check out the dead give away sparkles in their eyes. I've printed the photo and drew two snake tongues touching one another. Would make a killer t-shirt for Serbia or Joe Biden for president fund raising events.

I have grown to detest that classification, "terrorist". It is so relative that it looses meaning. In the context of the U.S. a terrorist is anyone that goes against their narrow capitalist interests. Such a simple minded regime.

You forget an important distinction: Americans are not doing it to innocent people.
(Joe, 20 December 2010 21:23)

Ouch, two problems in one sentence.

Problem #1: not sure, who decides, someone is innocent or guilty:

a) you, me, American Administration, Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter
b) court which has the jurisdiction over the case

Problem #2: curious, when did last time a court in America decide, torturing guilty ones is OK?

As the US economy continues to sink further and further, and budget cuts bite deep the US government will be looking at ways of quelling unrest with even more tighter laws and declaring people insurgents when in fact all they are doing is protesting against the savage drop in living standards.

This all awaits the citizens of the US.
(sj, 20 December 2010 22:30

(Foto Montazher,

What about AIG? The list goes on and on.
The Greeks in comparison to Americans are just petty thieves whereas your countrymen are professional fraudsters on a grand scale.
