"Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric says that Dick Marty’s report is important because it says for the first time that the KLA committed horrible crimes."

The first time? What about all the good old files done by several intelligence services of western countries labeling the KLA as a terror organization and connecting them with organized crime (drugs, money laundry, trafficking, arms smuggeling)? Or are these crimes not "horrible" enough? ;-)

"They DID call for investigations. "

-- Yea they called a few Serb journalists for investigation. The place to CALL for such a thing is the UNSC. That is what gives you a mandate over everything and across any international borders and organizations. Yet Serbia refuses to do that. Why?

"As you notice the investigations take extremely long time for million reasons. Monetary reason is the simplest and most neutral."

-- Lame excuse. I am willing to pay the flight and hotel along with all the food for the whole Serbian delegation the moment they decide to take this issue to the UNSC. Not only that but I am quite certain the Serb state is able to afford this by itself seeing that it took urgently to the UNSC the phone line issue. Yet it refuses to act in the same manner over this situation which is much more serious and much more grave. Why?

" Everything (I mean technical gear) what is about investigations is super-expensive. Even the computers used during investigation are not "regular" computers but having some critical hardware components (disk drive controllers) pre-certified by courts and allowing read-only operation. I know this because we were asked few times about such product. The price the forensic specialists are ready to pay is not what you pay in the store for a similar product, but intent for "regular' end-users. "

-- This is fine and dandy. This however has nothing to do with convening an urgent UNSC session and demanding a mandate for an international investigation. This is quite cheap.

"That means you have to wait not days but probably many years to see any result."

-- I am willing to make you a bet. I give you another decade. Not only that but I also bet that within this other decade Serbia will never approach the UN and ask for investigations. Serbia and most Serbs here are more interested for the media hype than the actual results of an investigation. Just take a look at the comments here. I have yet to see one Serb demanding an international investigation. Just one single Serb.

"Serbia committed crimes in Croatia,Bosnia,Kosovo,so,what's your point?"

point is that everybody committed crimes while Serbs have been held to 80% of responsibility. Well guess what the world is changing now and the truth is coming out, just because you are Albanian doesn't mean your innocent.

Serbia is only loosing face on all this propaganda about organ dealing.
All the NATO and UN was here in Albania during the time of which the claims are made. We are happy as long as NATO powers believe us and they do, because they know nothing happened. There was no way to transport prisoners in roads. And 500 is a very high number. It took MINIMUM 10 hours to go from the border to the so called yellow house. Plus changing the story from the yellow house to some place in Fushe-Kruja is an indicator that the first lie was not build properly.
In the end of the day as Marti is stating "everybody knows" here in Albania that no such thing happened.
Now this will soon turn back and hunt you. As you are paying to tell lies today somebody will pay tomorrow for the truth not to be forgotten. I think you will not like the reminder but it is just like a pill does not taste good but will do good to you.

“It raises a clear question: Is somebody ready to protect drug dealers, pimps, human organ traffickers? Each policy has its own strategy but I’m sure that none of them will accept such people,” Vekarić was quoted as saying.

-- Exactly and very well put. However it seems that Serbia is the biggest defender. Refusing to indict such people and refusing to take any proactive action against them. It seems that Serbia is very concerned with Thaci's future and his political power is more important to her policy and strategy than actually taking proactive and urgent steps to fully call for international investigations. Serbia's words do not math her actions and that is weird.

"He added that “role of all KLA leaders will be revealed in time and in the upcoming investigations”. "

"Vekarić pointed out that consequences of the report would be significant recommendations to all those who wanted to join the EU and take part in the EU integrations. "

What does this mean? Will Serbia use the lives of 300 of its citizens, whose organs were supposedly sold by KLA, for political gain? What consequences is Vekaric talking about? Is Serbia going to ask the EU to relax its demands about Mladic, because allegedly the KLA sold organs? Serbia has not even indicted Thaci, Tadic said Serbia will still have talks with Thaci. What consequences is Vekaric talking about? Is this a blackmail to the EU, "relax the conditions on Serbia, otherwise we will associate you with organ trafficking"? Hope the people responsible for dealing with you do not fall for this.

Even after all these years I am still caught out by the continuing reference to statistics. Is it a popular pastime to be had in the Balkans? A lot of earlier assumptions post bombing were blown out of the wate, and even today final figures are open to indivdual Interpretation.

The sad fact is tens of thousands of people were killed, maimed, tortured (in many forms), made homeless, stateless and mentally scarred for life. This happened across ALL ethnic lines.

Serbia, as the main Protagonist has been found guilty for the most part, but this does not absolve other parties from their collective guilt.

It is easy to be blinded by nationalistic pride, even more so when you appear to have been on the 'Winning side', but, and its a big but, would'nt it be nice to stand up and say that the means does not Necessary justify the end.

An awful lot of police officers passed thru Kosovo over the years and most if not all recognised how appallingly life is treated by elements of the albanian society. If thats how they can behave towards their own, then is not feasable that horrors mentioned recently are within their capability?

Gangsterism and corruption is keeping these people in power and holding back any hope of credibility, the longer you keep them on a pedestal and refer to them as heroes is to your own detriment/

As one journalist/author wrote, the breakup of jugoslavija was defined more on criminal aspirations than that of nationalistic lines. And the 'people paid the price, and continue to do so

Or are these crimes not "horrible" enough? ;-)

sigh, this fool flat out admit there is no evidence, yet still feels free to lay guilt.

an serb apologists dont see anything wrong with this?

they really should put a map of serbia next to the word propaganda in the dictionary.
