“They came with propaganda about horrible crimes against the Albanians that were completely unacceptable but then problems of the Serbs did not interest them. The only thing we could get is an escort for trips outside Kosovo, as if the only goal was for us to leave,“ Trajković explained. ...................Really ms Trjakovic oh propaganda my sister get her bones of her loving husband with the DNA help from red cross and that after 6 years when in 1999 he was taking you are saying so tell why did happen a ethnic cleansing

Serbs may have killed around 2 or 3 thousand and 95% was in combat situations, but your NATO friends killed 10,000 Albanians – the excuse “it was Milosevic’s fault”. The US gives Saddam Hussein deadly gas and he kills thousands of Kurds, but the Kurds kiss US backsides even today.
What’s the matter with you?
(sj, 17 December 2010 07:26)

And the Kurds have self-rule now in Iraq and could potentially have a Kurdistan in the future.
Did it ever occur to you that perhaps Albanians were willing to have 10,000 (I take issue with that number but for hypothesis sake let's say it's true) of their killed by NATO just to get rid of the Serb.

Freedom ain't free even in this sort of twisted way. Albanians in Kosova have been willing to pay a very high price to get rid of the Serbs and they perhaps have but they can now at least look at a Serb-free future.

Question to Kos Albanians - what voting system is used in elections? I wonder if an electoral system should be implemented to decrease the influence from those with concentrated support in a given area. A bit of gerrymandering might help too.
(bganon, 16 December 2010)

I don't live in Kosova but there are 120 seat in the parliament and of those 10 are reserved for the Serbs and 10 for the other minorities.
A party threshhold of 5% of the national vote is needed to gain entrance in the parliament. I thin it's called a "proportional system" but don't quote me on it.
So far only 5 parties are guaranteed seats PDk (Thaci), LDK (Rugova's party), Vetvendosje (Kurti), AAK (Haradinaj)and AKR (PAcolli).

It's not the best system but it's better than the alternative which is winner take all in each dsitrict which would mean PDK-LDK two party system much like in the US and no Serbs or other minorities at all.

'The rest of the parties will form a coalition which will pave the way for a full investigation of these allegations'

We shall see who breaks ranks first. The initial reaction from Pristina was to line up behind Thaci.

However, we know that Haradinaj had solid support until the Hague pressed charges and his accomplices were found guilty, not to mention the retrial.

Now he is a relatively marginal figure, except for solid support from his 'area'.

Of course the same will be true of Thaci in the Drenica area and anybody they will be able to 'influence'.

"The big problem of Thaçi is that he simply knows to much about the dealings of his Big Brother over the ocean. Such people are known to die in airplane crashes or car accidents." (Ubezpieczenie je¿a)

-- True. If the papertrail leads back to the CIA or the State Department, he's certainly expendable. I doubt even Albright would want to slip him some tongue at this point.

Thaçi, too is better to watch his back. Under known circumstances not many will be willing to work with him together. Now it is really interesting to see all the election results.

I don't think Albin Kurti wants to cooperate with anyone - but there could be several parties who can cooperate with each other.

The big problem of Thaçi is that he simply knows to much about the dealings of his Big Brother over the ocean. Such people are known to die in airplane crashes or car accidents.

If even half what Dick Marty uncovers is true than I would increase Thaçi's life insurance premium tenfold.

“Thaci is looking for a way to get his immunity and that's why he wants Serbs to be in the government. He contacted me several times regarding this, last time last night. He needs immunity through an institutionalized position but I am sure that there is not a single Serb who will sit in that government,“ she stressed.

After reading the news last night that Thaci will look to partner with Serbs this is exactly what I thought. I suspect Thaci's hours are numbered. The rest of the parties will form a coalition which will pave the way for a full investigation of these allegations.

You are full of it. Internationals knew and you mention it yourself mam that the amount of crimes Serbs have commited in Kosovo was not even comparable with anything else. Its like playing cops when there are people getting killed and someone ask for stolen property. Well, cops had more important thing to deal with then with a theft.
