Heh heh, I'm happy to embrace my inner 16-year-old on such occasions :-)

He's been strangely silent on the organ farming story too - not a good week so far for California's most virtuous man.

'm really looking forward to Roberto's take on this one, though I'm prepared to hazard a guess that he remains silent, as he does with any non-black/white issue. Isn't it frustrating when people don't behave the way you want them to, eh Roberto?

One of the problems is, he does not notice that he became the object of the tease for many. I am sure probably the half of Holbrooke-comments was made to freak him out - what he did as expected.

The scenario:

- yesterday he wrote that R.H. passed away and that he expects an orgy of witches dancing in ecstasy.
- that comment didn't went unnoticed and since Roberto "enjoys" a popularity without precedence on this forum, everyone became a cruel 16-year old just to freak the poor guy out.
- Of course, everything happened as predicted. To the biggest joy of the crowd, the whipping boy arrived as scheduled, bent down and received on his backside royally what he was due to receive.

Yes, the old guys/girls sometimes fall back to the 16-year old stage.

The question is - why someone enjoys to be a "whipping boy" or / and what "qualities" someone has to posses to become one. Your question, Dave is part of the answer probably. I have very little sorry and zero sympathy because it is totally provoked, sometimes I feel almost by purpose. Verbal BDSM or what...

This is a good start.

Now, all I ask from the moralizing west is to tell us why gay professional footballers still remain silent on their orientation, only coming out when they retire? This was a question recently asked by ex-fooballer Marcus Urban of Germany (mostly during the DDR).

Don't ask, don't tell in liberal, free and equal europe?

"...But the comments have raised concerns that homosexuality remains one of the major taboos in the footballing world. The only German footballer to have outed himself as gay is the former regional league player for Erfurt Marcus Urban, and that was only after his professional career was over. Experts estimate that around 10 per cent of all Bundesliga professionals are gay..."

He is a brave man, and hats off to him.

But I'm not sure if he should be representing the rights of his own social group unless his role is specifically to do that? Isn't he just a politician who happens to be gay?

Women politicians don't lobby on behalf of, or pay special attention to, womens' rights unless they have a specific role to do that. In fact, unfortunately, they usually do the opposite to over compensate.

completely unbelievable, and quite disappointing.

the opportunistic gay individual has done it again: now connecting lgbt population with awful legacy milošević left behind; yet another obstacle we'll have to deal with in our fight for lgbt equality.

when our fight gets compromised by individuals seeking more for themselves than for community, as his example shows perfectly, we'll always have some kind of nightmare on our back.
