not that I give a lot on what the US-regime thinks about Serbia...

but it´s nice to see that they have no control, though.

Serbia will prevail, sooner or later.

and as things look like at the moment, it will be much sooner than I previously thought!

well, go on my american friends! confront Serbia! last time in the UNSC you withdrew your childish attempt...

so much for the "one and only global superpower" how one of our so obedient dear k-albanian friends once wrote here...

The price level of most Brussel restaurant is not much higher than the average in many ex-socialist (and not as you stupidly use ex-communist)countries.
(szemi, 11 December 2010 20:12)

This is sadly correct. The difference is sometimes nothing, sometimes either way. Only exception is Ukraine and Kosovo - but even there I am very cautious and always look at the menu first.

As for American cables, communication and style - let's stay at the restaurant topic.

Here this B92 forum is nothing else, but a kafana. It's not 100% OK to make a loud noise from inside of your pants, but hey - it can happen, just say "sorry" and take one Jägermeister or Unicum if you have stomach problems.

What Uncle Sam did - is to attend an invitation-only royal party where china is china and silverware is silver. And the prices are three-digit, bit no one cares. As Wikileaks shows he just made a noise like what I described, coming straight from stomach and even lower regions. Not enough, the noise was so loud and the shockwave so strong that the genuine Louis-XIV-style candélabre fell down and landed in the cake.

Now all guests are looking at Uncle Sam... while foul smell and smoke comes from the backside of his pants.

I think, I kind of precisely described that situation.

Once in my life my wife (that time g/f) and myself landed up in the situation like that. It was 1986 and after a day-long torture on dirty old Chinese busses transporting villagers from one people's commune to the other we crossed the border and arrived in Macao. Two dirty, sweaty people with huge Russian backpacks of "Ермак" brand and both about 10 cm taller than any resident of Macao.

So there we are and in our infinite wisdom we entered the first hotel... went on the second floor... still nobody. One door was slightly open, we stepped in. There was a party inside of local royalty, with tuxedo and long dress at minimum. So what to do now? People in tuxedo are looking at the dirty underwear nearly falling out of "Ермак" and the half-eaten large dumpling in the hand of my wife.

It is difficult to translate the phrase "angolosan távoztak" into English, it means literally "they left English way" (i.e. left quickly and noiseless)... but that what did happen next.

Maybe this is what Hillary Clinton and all her baggage have to do. No other idea. Pack quickly, efficiently, quietly and go, like we did in Macao.

And apropos Macao and Chinese... here I think both Jeremic and Tadic are in the same boat, there is only one kosher step after such thing. It's really embarrassing.

“The U.S. and its partners in the EU need to work closely together to control Serbia's actions after the ICJ delivers its opinion, the diplomats say, adding that the EU should be encouraged to employ the carrot-and-stick policy and get Serbia to cooperate while preserving Kosovo's territorial integrity. “
Now here it comes out in plain English – a deluded US diplomatic corps demanding the “carrot and stick” approach – what carrots are they talking about? The EU is in financial crises; it does not have the money to bail out the current list of financial disasters. What stick? NATO is bleeding to death in Afghanistan and the EU part is DESERTING their great partner the US. Were they thinking of trade? Jesus please save me from these idiots. For the US simpletons that call themselves diplomats Serbia is a small country and to date it has more than enough free trade agreements – they don’t have an endless supply of agricultural or manufactured goods to sell.
“Serbia should be confronted in the UN General Assembly if necessary,”
This is my favorite part – the US/EU was supposed to confront Serbia by rallying the members of the general assembly to vote the Resolution down. When they found out that it would have been impossible to rig this vote they came desperate and had to negotiate with Serbia otherwise the US faced immanent defeat in the UN and that wouldn’t make the great US look good on the world stage.
“….. Kosovo's independence would not be questioned regardless of the ICJ decision,”
The purveyors of the rule of law made this statement long before the ICJ gave its advising so it without a doubt it tells the world that the ICJ opinion is NOT LEAGLLY BINDING. Albanians read it and weep boys!

If you are on assignment and go to a restaurant you are crazy. You need to be fit, in good physical shape, aim well and act quick.

There is also a serious machinery to assemble and operate.

You also need to know, there is a huge difference between catapult and trebuchet.

No need to go to the restaurants after it for many reasons either. Most importantly: find me one there which makes the catfish soup with pineapples better than this one.

Yes and that is why Tadic is a sell-out. If you read the leaks you will see he is cooperating with that EU policy and blindly following that carrot on a stick. Serbia needs strong leadership now, not a limp, spineless Tadic.

"The enemies of Serbia cares more about the "territorial integrity" of the Disneyland "Kosova" than of the territorial integrity of Serbia." (kufr)

-- But they also seem to be far more practical in approaching this subject than the talking heads at the State Department officially let on. If no one expects Serbia to recognize Kosovo, recognition cannot, and will not, be a requirement for EU membership. Additionally, other leaked cables have shown US hesitancy to really push the integration of northern Kosovo with the rest of the region, and an apparent willingness to compromise with Belgrade at least on this issue. Knowing this, and knowing America's insistence on maintaining some sort of fictitious "borders" of Kosovo, it would seem that the US is likely to offer a number of concessions to Belgrade that would allow them to maintain a direct presence in the Serb-dominant regions, while basically writing off the rest. However this manifests, it would seem Kosovo's future looks more internally fragmented and administratively partitioned than Bosnia's.
