"It has also been announced that the decision not to attend the ceremony was made by Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić.

Meanwhile, Belgrade tabloid Press reports on its website that President Tadić "asked that the prime minister sacks Jeremić", for not consulting with him on the Nobel decision.

However, says the report, Tadić changed his mind "after associates convinced him that sacking Jeremić at this time would cause more harm than good"."

-- More of this good cop bad cop. Jeremic, Tadic's puppet asked nobody and did all on his own. Yea right. Cut the crap dudes the game is over. Nobody buys this anymore and the script has been outed. Tadic is to play the role of a good cop in the eyes of the internationals; who has an unruly student. Jeremic is the bad cop here who we are to believe does everything on his own and against the West. Flip things out and Jeremic becomes the good cop in the eyes of the Serb nationals, while Tadic becomes the bad cop who is always servile to the West. The perfect crime right? It is if one foolishly believes things never go wrong. This script has been badly executed by both of them time and time again; the above being a concrete case of really really bad acting.

And will probably cause Serbia to lose the trust of the Chinese.
(lowe, 10 December 2010 03:23)

“Trust” ?! When did China ever trust Serbia, or anybody for that matter ?! Dude, “trust” does not exist in international relations. There are only interests…

Serbs get of your knees you did nothing wrong you are clean, you need not be beggars, but no one is going to help you till you help yourselves, you have a Russian ambassador who only asks "tell me what you want" you have Chinese who ask "how can we help" you have Indians who say "anything for you old friend" and yet you look the other way towards those with fakeness in their hearts. Time for someone with real vision to rise.
(Rise Up, 10 December 2010 04:24)

There is a small problem though; the only “help” all the above can offer is moral support with declarations. Who calls the shots on the ground in the Serbia-Kosovo issue is Europe.

The Chinese ambassador is a rational person, and I am almost certain that it would have been fully OK with them if Serbia sent a low level delegation--hell, even if Tadich chose to go they would've ultimately understood and respected our position from a political standpoint. But, that's all history now.

If China asked Serbia to abstain from going--I would say afu to China--because they always put themselves and their national interests first, no matter what or who. (Big period) EVERYONE DOES!!! (This one even bigger period)

They know that Serbia put all of her eggs into the Euro basket and that this request (if it was made by them) is by no means a request from a friend.(biggest period yet!)

But, if our waffling was designed by someone to in order to belittle China and undermine our close ties with them--which ultimately undermines us all over the world--we should all as a nation pray hard for divine intervention and wisdom.

The Chinese as a people deserve all of my respect (other than killing and eating dogs) because they seldom forget a favor. If one helps a Chinese family in need, that one and his family will have a friend and a guardian angel for life.

But we are talking about politics and politicians here today, which might not hold the same values and convictions as an average Chinese--but don't forget that they all strive to be viewed in that same light.

The Chinese ambassador is a rational person, and I am almost certain that it would have been fully OK with them if Serbia sent a low level delegation--hell, even if Tadich chose to go they would've ultimately understood and respected our position from a political standpoint. http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2010&mm=12&dd=09&nav_id=71405

So Jeremic comes out, says to the world "We won't go to Oslo", to the Chinese ambassador "Sign this please". The Chinese ambassador signs that, thanks Serbia, but not even 24 hours later, Tadic comes out and says "we will go to Oslo". Ambassador Wei Jinghua is left there, scratching his head, asking himself "what just happened? Did they just made a fool out of me?".

Still, this is the right decision for Serbia.

Lol, this is hilarious. Why Jeremic continues to remain a FM is really puzzling. He is been made a joke by Tadic in more than one occasion ( see GA resolution in September and now this). Great! Now the 'envoy' will be able to enjoy the show in Oslo live. It's a very rare event, with the chair of the prize recipient staying empty because neither he nor his wife or other close relatives were allowed to attend. Really historic, once in a lifetime: I just read that the last time this happened for the Nobel Peace Prize was more than 70 years ago, when a German journalist/writer who should receive the prize wasn't allowed to attend (by the Nazi-Germany regime)

IF we don't hear the Chinese side complain then I dont buy this amateur soap-opera melodrama for a second, it's just like the recent 'Schism' I was right about - a tactic to make our side seem disorganized before re-integration talks, considering the Albanians aren't even ready while we've been ready for weeks and Cvetkovic did say that our Nobel stance was tactical to begin with.

I applaud Liu Xiaobo's INAT, I am well aware it is politically abused by hypocrites in the "West" because this is precisely what happened with us. "West" knows no shame - but this is not an excuse not to be on LXB's side.

I do not think, this will affect the Serbian-Chinese relationship at the state level. But would it be done from begin on - there would be much less visibility. Now it became clumsy because everyone noticed it.

Like I said before, this decision is a no-brainer, but, if you can't accept it, eu, consider it tadic's way of telling you: "Admit Serbia into the eu soon before the people tear me to pieces". tadic is a little man and he is turning Serbia into serbia.

It is time that Serbia elect a NATIONALIST President.
(PRO-SERBIA, 10 December 2010 09:37)

NO!

He said he's Pro-Serbian!

It's nice to have President who punch himself in the face, all the time.

LOL.

Look, besides that I morally support the decision in favor of Liu Xiaobo - as clumsy diplomatically it was done - to see Roberto walking out with tail between his legs is priceless.

And hey - I got my three drinks.

Meanwhile, Belgrade tabloid Press reports on its website that President Tadić "asked that the prime minister sacks Jeremić", for not consulting with him on the Nobel decision.

Good cop,bad cop at its best. Just a little drama for Serbian public consumption. More interesting episodes to come in order for the Serbian "pro EU" block to get another electoral win. Jeremic knows his part and has played it well so far. No reason why nationalists will not support any future Jeremic political bid.He has done so much for serbdom cause, unlike that "traitor" Tadic.Right?

Tadic didn't change- nothing, don't be funny.

It can send 100 Jankovic, it doesn't play any role now.

I'm sorry to have to say this but I think Tadic's government really comes across as being utterly wishy washy! And will probably cause Serbia to lose the trust of the Chinese.

wow, sneaky. I think they just needed the signature of ambassador Wei Jinghua for "Thermal Power Plant Kostolac B".

http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2010&mm=12&dd=09&nav_id=71405

Let me tell you something pal, you and and the rest of Serbian Bashers have only B92 to thank for their civility and fair play--otherwise if they were to cut me loose for one month--I guarantee you and all of the rest envious Serb Bashers--that by the end of the month you would all run to psychiatrists and physicians with your chewed-up extremities. Do us both a favor and stay away from my posts when I am mourning--because you people can't handle the truth in the various forms that I am capable of delivering it.

Lol, this is hilarious. Why Jeremic continues to remain a FM is really puzzling. He is been made a joke by Tadic in more than one occasion ( see GA resolution in September and now this). He should resign for his own sake.He has ZERO credibility with any foreign leader. Most know now that he does not represent the actual views of Serbia's government. So why bother to take anything he says seriously? He is going to be very effective in the future, NOT!

(Rise Up, 10 December 2010)

Wait are you asking Serbs to stop kneeling to the West and "beg" the Russians, Chinese, and Indians for favors instead?

I'll believe that when you Serbs stop migrating to Germany, UK, Canada, USA, Australia and the Scandinanvian countries and start migrating to Mumbai, Shanghai and Moscow. Until then spare us the hypocrisy please.

But, that's all history now.

“Trust” ?! When did China ever trust Serbia, or anybody for that matter ?! Dude, “trust” does not exist in international relations. There are only interests…

There is a small problem though; the only “help” all the above can offer is moral support with declarations. Who calls the shots on the ground in the Serbia-Kosovo issue is Europe.

No, sack Tadic. It's time that traitor went.
