Has it ever occurred to you that the US does not want to “find him” because of the deals they made with Ratko Mladic?
(sj, 6 December 2010)

To be honest THIS has never ocurred to me. Is Mladic hiding in the US by any chance? How about this, why don't you guys hand Mladic to the Hague so he can "discredit" the Americans in front of the whole word before the tribunal.

He will also walk free since he's "innocent" according to you.

They were much too soft in requesting the delivery of Mladic. The Serbs noticed that and by putting out statements like "we do our best" they could get away by not delivering him.

FYI; Serbia is not the only one trying to "capture" him. All other organizations are "failling" as well.

What makes you so sure he's even in Serbia.

Yes Joe, the evil Serbs. Why would we surrender Mladic? He has the support of the vast majority of Serbs, including me, plus the support of the SERBIAN government. We pretend to search for him and the EU pretends to believe us and everyone is happy. Has it ever occurred to you that the US does not want to “find him” because of the deals they made with Ratko Mladic?

You really have swallowed the propaganda pill this morning. How about coming out with something original. Tell me Joe who do you respect in the current lot of politicians or people that you can look up to? If it’s Obama I agree with you, but the rest……!!!! .I don’t think B92 will print the s word to describe them properly.

When are you going to surrender your US war criminals?

"Mladic does not want to surrender"

Everybody knows that for a long time. He doesn't want to surrender because he is a coward like many such criminals in the history of mankind.

"he has a large support amongst Serbs both in Serbia, RS and Serb diaspora. "

This is known too. You could have added "support in the Serbian government itself". The undeclared support of the government is the main problem. I am sure that in the future there will be a film showing how Mladic was protected by the highest rungs of the government. But at this stage I blame more the EU than the Serbian side. They were much too soft in requesting the delivery of Mladic. The Serbs noticed that and by putting out statements like "we do our best" they could get away by not delivering him.

"The fact that the arrest of Mladić is always in reach but never realized does not imply that the state is weak."

I like his sincerity. The state is not weak just it lacks the will to arrest him. Instead of arresting him it uses deception ("we don't know about his wherebous"). If the EU would make an offer to accept Serbia as a member immediately at the condition of delivering Mladic than few hours would be enough to put him on a plane (not the one the PM used).

There is a big problem with “If the EU would make an offer to accept Serbia as a member immediately at the condition of delivering Mladic than few hours would be enough to put him on a plane”. The fact is that Mladic does not want to surrender and the fact that he has a large support amongst Serbs both in Serbia, RS and Serb diaspora.
For example, General Pavkovic surrendered to the Hague of his own free will – he was not arrested and put on a plane because that would have caused a revolution in Serbia, but after discussion with the then Patriarch of the Serbian Church, Pavle, he decided that, as the government put it, “as a soldier he is a servant of the people, etc”.
Radovan Karadzic was not discovered by the police but he was tired of hiding and he had enough; for goodness sake he went on holidays to Croatia and other places, he went on seminars to other EU countries.
The connection between all these people is the fact that they or their families were paid extremely well for this sacrifice. The difference with Mladic is that he does not care about money and nor will he surrender.
I hope Wiki does release all of the Mladic emails which will show you that the west agreed to Mladic disappearing from political or military life and no prosecutions would follow. Karadzic has already said that the US through Holbrooke agreed to all of this.
Wiki has destroyed the credibility of the US totally and no amount of Hilary apologizing is going to reverse this fact.

Why does Mladic keep coming up? Who cares about him, hes just a small fish in the big sea. Many more are out there are guilty of a lot more than him, that is a fact.

The someone is Mladic and Serbia is hiding him for such a long time. It would be interesting to see all the related info revealing the deception of successive Serbian governments about his whereabaut.

Wow. Hadzic might be the only politician in the world who gets a full paragraph just to tell us who he is. I wonder if his aides had to introduce him as such each time he made a speech back in the days of the now defunct RSK. Or maybe Milosevic wouldn't allow a former warehouse manager to make public statements.

Every country has something, or someone to hide, Gojko. Just look at all the cables that have been exposed by Wiki showing all the spying US diplomats were requested to do by Madam Secretary. The bigger the country, the more dirty laundry.
