From the Ottoman Empire, what else! Surely not from Albania, since Albania didn't exist back then.

Actually they just took it back because it was always theirs.
Sooner or later everything goes back to it's rightful owner and Kosovo is no different.

All in good time.

Why, would it change anything :)..
==================

Yes it would. We might actually start to believe that your lot knows what they are talking about.
Without supplying evidence to back your claims nobody can take you seriously.

So, if you want to be taken seriously, do supply your sources, otherwise bugger off. You become just annoying.

Sorry "icj1", but perhaps you didn't notice that poste wasn't meant for you.

Anyways, I am just curious where those claims are coming from, out of sheer interest. Why does this bother you? Did I tick a nerve by any chance ? ;)

100 yrs ago Serbia took Kosovo with the help of giants like Russia and France, and Albanians couldn't do nothing but be under your persecution and discrimination for almost a century. Well we never gave up, we fought to the bitter end against all odds....

My question to the world is: what in the world was there to object to here?
(Amer, 3 December 2010 19:42)

The thick, very lowly southern accent, of course. I wrote in an accent related to Russian like the English(??) spoken mostly in trailer parks of Texas is related to the one spoken in Oxford, UK.

Nothing but confirmations in these leaks. An independent Kosovo was America's project from day one, and continues to be. Serbia took on a giant, and is holding its own. I am proud of our people.

Looks like serb president and serb government have prepared the people well for the Independence of Kosovo. It seams to me that US & EU investment in Kosovo was and still is the mos crucial element of this story. Everybody in Serbia where aware about the situation - whta is going to happen. But the crimes they committed during the war in Kosova stooped them from ding anything in the opposite direction. I'm proud of my Kosova leaders and their policies of building a democratic community.

"...the United States thought that it would help the democratic forces in Serbia in the elections scheduled for January of next year,..."

No! Really? Americans meddling in other people's elections? It is unheard of. Why would such a vibrant democracy like Serbia need such help? Could it be because there is the 'right' kind of democracy and the 'wrong' kind of democracy? You can tell the difference by asking the politicians to stick out their tongue and see what color it is.

Bunch of *&!$^@ hypocrits.
