I m from Albania milan, i know about a great deal of albanians being against such idea at first place...they are just unconcouss separatists! In democracy majority decides, majority of Albanians of REPoAlbania would not reject a union. But, if they propose a union right now, i would vote against but 68% would vote pro ... i would also vote against EU but 82% would vote pro...not that i m a nationalist or a ultra leftists, i just still don't see my country at the right economical and political level... I both support a natural albanian state and EU, but not immediately as Kurti and others might propose, first we need to ged rid of traitors that are governing us...

It is is easy to stand up and promise to people a megalomaniac idea, but the general public in albania and in kosovo are not naive like the serbs who immediately fall for the beautiful words of their politicians, kurti probably saw this agenda as a means to enter the parliament ... change of border is not possible without fight, being sourronded by neighbours who mostly are slavs and russia is strong again, they would search a reason to fight, because the slav politicians can not justify differently the economic failure in their respective countries, because of geographical position in the balkans, we albanians would be affected most by wars... actually change of borders is not even neccessary, we can increase the albanian factor by following EU and NATO as for now...if times change, we would have already prepared the field for a reunion, we need a strong economy ,Tirana needs to fully modernise the air force and naval fleet, a proccess which will take at least 15 years depending on our economical growth, time is on our side, we do not need to hurry, maybe that policeman is right by calling Kurti a pro serb....he is so stupid, how can we create a united albania without preparing the ground in fyrom and other parts under slavo-greek invasion? If Kurti wants self determination, maybe he should have thought before in 1999, for now we have to comply with the EU and NATO directives...if those fail and Serbia annexes mitrovica, it will be NATO's responsibiity to protect the Kosovo territory, and if they fail, Tirana will have all the rights to annex Kosovo and Preshevo valley ... for now on, we only have to wait and see the next move of serbia, any time they make a diplomatic move, we win ... actually, think of it this way, after 100 years Serbia still haven't reckognised Kosovo, while world in this future might have much greater concerns like global warming, atomic developmens in some kind of totalitarian country, some kind of new terrorism, security council will not even notice that practically albanians have been united despite of the borders drawn on a piece of paper that they call a map...

"no, it isn't at all (and you surely understand that). Self-Determination means just "self-determination": you decide what you are."
(dekk, 29 November 2010 18:14)

So Kurti and his mates don't want a multiethnic dream State of Kosovo, but being part of Albania. That makes more sense, I admit :-)

Kurti is pro-Serb? This guy is ruining everything. Hashim Thaci is more our man than Kurti bc at least Hash is deluding Albanians into thinking that we will recognize the temp inst despite a lack of UN recognition

There was no Albania before 1912, Koso. Albanians always lived on other countries' lands. You should be thankful you were given that chunk of the Balkans to call Albania. And please, no Illyrian ancestry anymore, everyone is really tired of that Hoxha made up crap.

Is't it bizarre that a socalled "Self-Determination movement" opposes an independent Kosovo and obviously wants to join Albania instead?" (Top)

-- Apparently a movement opposed to corruption in Pristina has no problem putting up with corruption in Tirana?

What's equally bizarre is that more Albanian flags are flown there than Kosovo flags. If you arrest these guys you have to arrest nearly 2 million others.

"Kosova was always Albania until Europe divided it in 1912. Makes perfect sense."
(KOSO, 29 November 2010 13:07)

Makes no sense, because Albania exists only since 1912. Or are you dreaming of the Ottoman Empire?
