Policeman shoots assailant dead

One is sure, no one should "just" shoot mentally ill person whoever it is. There's no place for a shame, to retreat (escape) 20 meters and call more enforcement. Such a things can be solved trough the patience, good organization and special equipment/weapons.

There's no doubt that Police officer is coming out "clean" without many explanations.. Can he explain himself what happened, later?

Lesser "action" and more patience is recommended, especially with a mentally disordered people.

In this situation, first of all and before you "go close", you must know with whom you have to deal.
