"U.S. officials said releasing the classified information was a “reckless and dangerous action” which risked endangered lives and hurting relations with its allies."
=======================

What's new? We all know that US is nobody's friend but some people on this site keep bragging how they are great friends and allies of the mighty US.
This is surely going to put a stop to it.

Still, I wonder how many are still going to be in denial.

I bet the text of those 996 cables will be interesting...
(Albert, 29 November 2010 02:34)

No one will bet against you, Albert. We will hopefully see them.

I am curious though - will we see all these fat cats from major countries around the globe cover their heads in shame or the word "shame" is missing from their vocabulary?

There are 251.287 cables total. But only 219 of them were released today (and some of those 219 actually mentions Serbia). Imagine how many of the full set will mention Serbia... Look at the following guardian site: http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/nov/29/wikileaks-cables-data

Someone put a link to a torrent in the comments. That lead to a CSV file which contains the embassy and some tags (but not the text in the cable message) for ALL of the cables. If you examine it you will find there are 996 cable messages from the following embassy:
2/21/06,Embassy Belgrade,Kneza Miloša 50 11000 Belgrade Serbia,"PGOV, PREL, PHUM, SR, YI, Church, Kosovo"

First comes the date and then the embassy and address. Last comes the tags that tells a little what the message is about. But the text is missing. It will be released later. I bet the text of those 996 cables will be interesting...

This proves that the US is politically a bastard state.
(Ian, UK, 28 November 2010 21:00)

I did read a few WikiLeaks - and sadly EVERY state is a bastard state.
I did not say any news with that. It was the same in last few thousand years.

What I see, these "leaders" are just useless chatterboxes like we.

The difference: no one going to lose his/her life because I tease Szemi with hedgehogs and Szemi goes on with Jews on me in exchange. Two old farts have nothing better to do, that's it.

But unfortunately this is not the case with Putin, Obama, Sarközy, Ahmadinejad (and you name the rest).

The best strategy: keep yourself independent and be prepared: there is NOT A SINGLE COUNTRY worth to die for. Your friends and family is the one you have to take care, f-- the rest. Or at least - be critical. Greater (Serbia, Albania, Russia, Hungary) is your enemy because THEY want YOU to die for it. But THEY won't even sacrifice a single Cent. But of course, they expect the losers be ready to sacrifice their life.

Good nite... and who can, try to skip the military service. It's useless waste of time. Thank you Wikileaks to show us the face of People's Enemy. They are the ones we elect.

Wikileaks is the best thing to come out, ever. I hope this is just the beginning for this website, and others like it to come. Why shouldn't people in a democracy (America) know what their representatives are doing? We elected these people to serve, not to have complete control over America's actions, foreign or domestic. And if our representatives that we elected lied, and did nefarious things to promote their personal agendas, then we, as the citizens of America, as their employers, need to know what they are up to. I do not want America's policies ever based on lies, limited agreements, pay-offs, threats, distortions, and on and on, I want America to be truthful and up front to it's citizens - the employers of the government. If we do dirty and covert dealings, what will separate us from the so-called bad guys we are against? Besides, who proclaimed America as the good guy anyway, America?

If someone was saying something behind my back, I'd like to know what they were saying... wouldn't you?
(Ian, UK, 28 November 2010 21:00)

I "know"., and I would.

I bet everyone would.

Everyone waits now., his turn, and WikiLeaks is warming up past 8 hours.

Maybe Sarkozy is laughing right now being characterized "naked Emperor" but tomorrow he can byte the pillow being unable to close eyes and start screaming in the middle of the night..

It just started and I hope it will finish, honestly. There's too much (all kind of) power against. If he finish the job he'll not have candidacy for the person of the year (TIME) but for the Nobel Prize as the man who "reinvented" the truth.

I'd always trade knowing my back-stabbers for this.

This proves that the US is politically a bastard state. I think through the release of these secret messages, the world can tell if the US is a "real friend" or not.

If someone was saying something behind my back, I'd like to know what they were saying... wouldn't you?

Great news, tx Mr Assange to enlight us with the lies, pressure, bribes and dirty tricks the United State of Arrogance has been using to achieve their dirty agenda ! Let's see how arrogant they will be after this release is being completed...
How embarassing it must be...

Now- better:

-don't "run" to learn before the others.

-don't make any accounts on WikiLeaks coming week.

-don't open (eventual or old) .csv and .sql on the main computer- you can do it on some old off-line one.

-don't search "any" website for a new Leaks but known ones (read address like on your Bank account).

-don't donate WikiLeaks in coming week (they're "full" anyway, right now). You can do it somewhere in December.

-don't "hang" too much on WikiLeaks ws, at least in coming week or two.

-don't download eventual or any old WL torrent from any website in a week or two.

This friendly warning apply to Serbs and friendly commentators.

PS.I'd like all the rest to do the opposite, please.
