Russian journalist attacks state of television news

Maybe, Roberto - but here you know better (seriously!) out of San Francisco than me here and this time (as an exception!) I am not even being sarcastic.

You want to know, why?

Here you go. A year ago my mom did subscribe for the Russian TV channel. We even paid 900 Forint/month extra. And quite a bit more / month for the digital option - because Russian TV would come as an option only if I have a digital set-top box.

Before the elections in April the Russian TV was GONE. Niet, njama, nema, jo, mei you (in few languages for the innocent people who would not believe that my English is correct).

So it just DISAPPEARED without REPLACEMENT. Of course, everyone knows, Viktor Orbán did (long ago) hate Russians (no, he does not hate them now). So few servant tongues at Hungarian telecom decided to kiss his behind... and canceled the program.

(Our money being screwed, but this is an other thing).

And since there is no replacement - unfortunately I can't tell you, is what you saying correct or not. So far, till ca. March of 2010 the news and in general the program was OK, somewhat more "American" for my taste, than I wanted but my mom (a hard-die anticommunist) enjoyed it.

How it's now - not a friggin idea. But I know precisely, where my anti-Orbán feelings came from. As Orbán once said (as an apropos to Béla Kun, who was a Jew and a communist):

"Anti-Hungarian stance is GENETICALLY PREDETERMINED". So I am now enlightened. Hope, you too - and now you know, next to Serbia a full-blown fascist country was born. But lucky we, soon other TV will be banned, too. All news will come from a single source.

This is what I was crying wolf for years. Now we got it. Compared with that Russia is dandy, isn't it? But no, you are still interested in Russia's and Serbia's sins committed in last 20000 years. Even if now TV in Hungary is going through censorship, the one-party system is nearly a reality and the "anti-Hungarian" stance of Jews is "genetically predetermined".

I don't mind a secret USA program regarding Hungary at the moment. Anyone (CIA, FBI, FSB, Mossad, Boy Scouts, Kim Jong Il, Elvis Presley) please come and take that fascist Orbán somewhere, the invisible side of the Moon is the best place. The biggest thing what makes me worry is not even that "genetically predetermined" thing, it was a tongue slip. I am worried most about two things:

#1: Personal cult around OV
#2: Imposing a de-facto one-party system.

What about his fooling around with the pension system? No one has any control over an elected leader until the next election - except the bankers of the world. You are keeping a close watch on the value of the forint, right? Chavez managed negative growth during a period when every other country in Latin America was booming - keep your eyes open and be ready to jump. It may take some time for the fever to burn itself out, there's no need to stay and get your quills singed.
