Every dog has its day, just as this one, who has scrounged upon a few more treats - enough to pay for his milk bones and dry dogfood for an entire year.

As a Croat it amazes me that someone like Mesic who used to potary himself as the only leader in Croatia who had integrity would recieve a pension from Serbia. What you now need 2 pensions. Why would you need those few extra coins Stipe? As president you discraced the nation on many occassions with you policies and behavior...please don't do it again for the love of god..give it up.

"Serbia is paying me for breaking up Yugoslavia," Mesić said and laughed.." B92

Mesic, broke Yugoslavia?!

Is that lie make him more popular in Croatia?

If he was not there someone else would be.. He still live on that self blown bubble and he still keep proving to Serb authorities that he's alive.., every six months. What a misery!

Yugoslavia broke much before he came.

Yes, €39 is not a lot of money, but it represents the exact value of the services rendered. There is another invaluable side of the favour he did to Serbs by breaking up Yugoslavia. Imagine the psychological damage to the people resulting only from watching his face on national TV, or in newspapers since he would stay endlessly on political stage!
