To all pro serbo russians supporters: write whatever you want in your newspapers, visit Kosova as tourist only, and never think to restore the serbo russian occupation as 1912-1999...Kosova soon will be a part of Albania.
(Ilyrian from Vushtrri, 26 November 2010 18:09)

Kosovo in history was never part of any albanian state (despite fascist italian Albania). And will be never part of Albania. US-Albanian occupation of serbian land will be soon finished.

(American Eagle, 25 November 2010 10:30)

This guy has publicly through RTK offered himself to go to the States and prove his innocence. However EULEX decided that proves for extradition are insufficient and released him from arrest.

(miri, 24 November 2010 20:13)

No, there's a third option, as mentioned in the article. Kosovo with it's "unusual" status doesn't have an extradition agreement with the USA. That's why he cannot be extradited. Of course, I agree, if he would be a "big fish" and not just an ordinary criminal, the US troops in Kosovo would surely have found a way to get him arrested and transferred to the USA behind the back of "Kosovo authorities"

Happy Thanksgiving

A slow news day in the Balkans. This guy was arrested last spring by the Kosovo police and the government was perfectly willing to send him along to the US. It was the EULEX-led court that ruled that under Kosovo law (based on the Yugoslav law in force the day before Kosovo autonomy was revoked) that his extradition would not be legal.

Personally, I'd be a lot more worried by this guy: http://www.sandiego6.com/news/local/story/More-Explosives-Found-in-Escondido-Home/eekTE6rR9EiKXpO0le5Ntg.cspx

All his crime was actually to paint a hedgehog's head green, put a cup of ayran on the nose of the animal and letting him run circles in the middle of Prizren.

Originally, Americans wanted him merely on animal cruelty charges - but it was Mladic, Tadic, Milosevic who fed FBI with the foul propaganda.

It is appreciated, that watchful citizens of Trollhätten (PRN, Agim Kelmendi, Miri - to name a few) unmask these mean Serbs.

Thank you Kosova, my next vacation is Prizren.

Now the serious(?) part. Hey, the more silliness you write - the more this kind of jokes you get in return. Keep in mind, B92 lands up always very high in google searches. Now it's enough to google on "iriqi" (hedgehog in Albanian) all the army of my cyber-hedgehog teasing comes up the first.

Why not just tell the truth? Yes, the law enforcement in Kosovo like everywhere in East Europe sux totally. Criminals even at the government level can get away with nothing. At the same time "high profile" people like teacher, ordinary engineers, workers are sucked dry by thieves. And yes, no surprise - there are terrorists living in Kosovo, some nasty ex-Légion étrangère members with blood all over their hands living in Croatia, Serbia, Hungary. As long as you deny the obvious we all know - you are a disservice to your own community. Jesus... is it THAT hard to get?

The question is what do you Serbs want to believe?

There are essentially only two options.

1. That this fellow is guilty as charged but Kosovar authorities refuse to extradite him and thus directly confronting the US, the power, which also according to you, stands behind K-independence. This would mean that Kosova is even more consolidated as a state than we Albanians believe, let alone you (the Serbs). We would be flattered if Kosova would actually turn down a US request of this kind which in turn would prove the immaculate statehood of the new country.

2. The fellow is truly innocent, and the US doesn't really care about this dude. Apparently this option seem to be rejected forcefully by you who write here so which one would you like to pick?

Hey European, that guy is in South Mitrovica. You know, the one ethnically cleansed of minorities by the Albanians running Kosovo now.

I agree with PRN of the following point: "The USA are not stupid, they know that this guy is not much help in any way and would be a waste of money to pay his ticket and feed him in the US, because otherwise they could get him within seconds."

While the US government has stupidly squandered Millions on this nation-building project while supporting the wrong side, their intelligence agency is letting this terrorist be at this time. You see, they know these Kosovo Albanians are terrorists. If they aren't planning to attack a military base in Virginia, they are planning to attack another American location, like Fort Dix in New Jersey. Biting helping hands is a way of life for them (look at the way they supported Yugoslavia after running from Hoxa - secession). The CIA and other intelligence agencies are watching and listening to him though; you can count on it. They know that rust and jihadis never sleep. Albanian Kosovo is full of both.

"the article neglects to mention that this man is living freely in a Kosovo town called Kosovska Mitrovica - in Northern Kosovo which is controlled by Serbia..." (european)

-- Yes, but it would seem to be that he lives in the southern half of this northern Kosovan city; the half (more like 2/3) that Serbs don't control:

"In September 2009, a Serbian court sentenced Asllani in absentia to eight years in prison for selling weapons to Islamic militants, a charge he denies. His house is a few hundred metres from the Ibar River, which divides the part of the city under Kosovo government control from an ethnic Serb community loyal to Belgrade."

With this in mind, it would seem highly unlikely he would take refuge in northern Mitrovica.

I agree with Kate this time that "Mladic - that is a different story and not linked" because he is MEGA CRIMINAL not seen in Europe since WWII, whereas this guy Bajram Asllani is just as innocent as mother theresa was for that particular crime. And I like the wording: Kosovo's "unusual international status" - especially when these words are coming from the USA ;-)

The obligatory - now so-familiar illustrations:

If this guy is innocent, why not fly to the US and prove his innocence? I'll pay for his ticket. I guess this is the way Kosovo really says Thank You to the US.

This man has Serbian passport and he is pretected from serbs just like Enver Sekiraca and he lives in serbias government money.
I wish he was arrested and killed in electric chair because traitors like him don't need Kosova.

To all pro serbo russians supporters: write whatever you want in your newspapers, visit Kosova as tourist only, and never think to restore the serbo russian occupation as 1912-1999...Kosova soon will be a part of Albania.

Nice try, european (wishful thinking on the name, eh Ilir?). As you quite well know, only the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica is controlled by Serbia. I'd be prepared to wager quite a lot of money that this charmer is from the southern part, don't you reckon?

I remember 6 months ago KP officers and a couple FBI agents arrested this gentlemen only to realize that they had only suspicion and no actual proof. That's why he will not be extradited by Pristina, or the European Union.

If i recall that was reason enough for bombardment of Serbia in 1999...

There are essentially only two options.
..."

This guy has publicly through RTK offered himself to go to the States and prove his innocence. However EULEX decided that proves for extradition are insufficient and released him from arrest.

Kosovo in history was never part of any albanian state (despite fascist italian Albania). And will be never part of Albania. US-Albanian occupation of serbian land will be soon finished.
