I wouldn't call the cleaning an "issue", first of all!

Second, before I answer to you I had on my mind all the articles and blogs (MANY) about pollution in Albania as it considers me very much. We're geographically next (You're bordering with Serbian Kosovo) to you and I'm an Greenpeace activist and donor.

Almost all those articles are written by foreigners (to you) but not Albanian. Participation of Albanians is 0 (zero) and for many years you're doing- nothing.

Under the garbage is brown-reddish sand unique to the world, not just to the Balkans. Your beaches ARE beautiful but don't remember me on someone who said: "My country is like a Switzerland by the sea.." because same guy put numerous signatures to import West garbage. The point is that the Adriatic garbage is not that one but 70% thrown away by SMALL Albanian population. It's easy to be identified. I won't post you the links but I'll give you the keywords what you should have done long before me.. It's sad that you're all putting "make up" while your ass is dirty.

Google any "Albania trash" or "Albania garbage" and help your country (and us).

I think that none here want a lecture from you on how to clean our house or our garbage, even you might be very good in this kind of issues. Maybe this is your job i don't know and actually i don't care. I was just surprised; 'cos unfortunately we've always imported waste from other countries during these years. I was sincere on what i stated in my previous post, 'cos we too have suffered from these criminal activities. So i just expressed my opinion without offending no-one. Instead you're offending my country and my people. I can say a lot of bad things for your country and you're people, too. Infact is very difficult for each of us albanians and serbs to find some positive things from each other, but this doesn't mean that we cannot have a civilized dialogue. Sure as a good albanian i can react accordingly to every provocation but i like to keep thin on a civilized level. As a last thing i just wanna let you know that our beaches are the most clean and the most beautiful in the Balkans, we're very lucky. Some are not, you know .....

Sorry to break it to you, but I'm confident I speak for most Albanians in this forum when I say, that we don't care what you believe.
(Ment, 23 November 2010 17:07)

NO! You speak for ALL Albanians and some Serbs, even- I'm sure you do. There's no doubt.

BUT, everyone nows that Albanian people (Albanian Tani doesn't) throw 40-50% of the garbage illegally and that Albanian beaches are about the most polluted in the world with a millions of cubic meters of pretty anything but nature. 2-3 meters waves can wash anything, depends on configuration, up to 50-60 meters inland. Albanian Tani doesn't know that! He said "purpose" even and how about to know that Albania never payed for any ("damage"- he said) in it's history. Comment he posted was rather joke (like he felt from the Mars)and my answer was appropriate I think. So Ment- take your pill and relax, I didn't forced you to read- you can close your eyes when you see my name, that's why I write big letters.

Are you even Croatian?
(johny, 23 November 2010 17:13)

No I'm not but I have tiny peace of land around Herceg Novi., will you pay "damage" to me, also?

Nooot, I don't want money from you!

So why don't you better go and clean YOUR house as this is the "A" letter of a "basic cleaning course" rather then throwing brains here?

(you're always in someone's else house, you and your garbage)

Yeah unfortunately, sea currents have a habit of taking garbage thousands of miles in any direction. There's a spot in the Pacific where waste from all over the world congregates and it goes on for miles on end.

Like you, I do hope the Albanian government will make amends to Croatia for this.

This is very strange, albanian waste in croatia?!. I don't know if this was done on purpose or what.
(tani, 22 November 2010 19:51)

Of course, not on purpose, same way everyone (mostly Croats and Serbs, but probably you, too a little bit) got the poisonous red goo from us. Curious, who will be found guilty for that goo?

Anyway, (late) apologies for the red bauxite-byproduct goo to everyone.

The following is my comment from November 11, 2010: “The first thing you think of when you’re flying over this country is ‘Switzerland by the sea’. Albania has the best coast in the region,” he said and added that his people were very hospitable...Berisha
What the hell does this have to do with Albanians going to other countries seeking financial asylum, and living off of the entitlement systems? As for Switzerland by the sea, give me a break. I doubt that you can see anywhere in Switzerland raw sewage floating in public waters.

The rest is organic, such as animal carcasses, wood and so forth," Beusan was quoted as saying.B92

Organic?

So you can proclaim, together with Montenegro and Albania the Adriatic Eco Corridor!

Anyway, the tired German working class can sleep in the middle of all of that.. Don't believe? Ask Berlusconi!

Zoran

waste from Albania has been reaching the Mljet area of the Adriatic Sea each year, this time the amount is significantly higher.

Is this a sign of Albania's economic progress and contribution to the region?

Clean it up and ship it back to Albania. Albania signed a contract with Germany to ship some of its waste to Albania nuts they cant even manage their own garbage.
