Roberto, your comments on “beloved karadzic/mladic/Milosevic” doesn’t appear to be well considered or measured. I’m afraid you may have scored an own goal and obscured your otherwise good point.

Thanks, that's precisely what I wanted to say. Dish was made with proper ingredients and cooked well - as usual it was the serving, what was totally off. And pretty much destroyed the food.

Roberto, your comments on “beloved karadzic/mladic/Milosevic” doesn’t appear to be well considered or measured. I’m afraid you may have scored an own goal and obscured your otherwise good point. That is that the stability and effectiveness of BiH will undoubtedly affect her Balkan neighbours, including Serbia. BiH is not the only multi ethnic, multi faith state in the Balkans. All BiH citizens need to feel that their county is BiH and not greater Croatia, Serbia or Albania. The non serb in Serbia and the non Croat in Croatia must also feel secure.

In the dark days of before ultimate YU destruction and madness, BiH was seen as a model for communities living together (the news from Sarajevo was always more balanced and accurate that news from Zagreb or Belgrade!). BiH isn’t functioning the way it once was; this is obvious. These communities, separated by war and conflict need to find ways of coming together again. I’m amazed that some see further separation as an answer. Petty nationalist outpourings from neighbouring countries do little to achieve anything positive for anyone.

Peace and respect to all

I can only agree with Robert's comment! I don't know why people have problems with the reality...

Because you can say the same thing few different ways. There are constructive ways and there are destructive. Boils down to the effect. That's all. The said comment was totally off in content and spirit.

Well, what a surprise. all of the posters here so far, all extremist nationalist, praying for the day when their beloved karadzic/mladic/milosevic project succeeds.

the problem is, how bosnia goes, so goes yr beloved serbia. you want ethnic cleansing? apartheid? oh boy, how yr lovely country will fall in 100 different pieces. as we all cry our crocodile tears.

Funny, the only one who mentioned "Karadzic", "Mladic" or "Milosevic" was you. That did not stop you to attack everyone. Now people will look back at you somewhat funny way because not just the comment was totally out of touch - but for many posters the "yr lovely country" doesn't even mean anything on Balkans. And how they can be "extremist nationalist" is an other puzzle. That's why it was (an other) autistic comment. You really have a serious problem, no kidding.

Umm, roberto, did you read the comments below? Everyone is referring to a Croat entity, which was mentioned in the article. What does that have to do with Serbian nationalism, Serbia, Mladic, Karadzic et al?

It was the so-called internationals that started the mess in the former YU and are largely responsible for the mess created there. You guys are spreaders of instability, destruction and terrorism. You've made a complete mess everywhere you go (YU, Iraq and Afghanistan are just 3 examples).

I'm glad the world is waking up and resisting the spread of Western evil. I concur with those who express concerned about further Western/US interference in the region. It will cause further instability just like everywhere else it sticks its nose.

Next time try to read the comments before spreading your venom.

Roberto, you reside in a state (California) that now has a lower credit rating than Iraq. I am not an "extreme nationalist" or an imperialist and deplore America's constant wars for multicultural fantasies that backfire. I am a realist. America is bankrupt. America cannot do anything to keep the Bosnian fraud intact. Get over it. America will be busy enough keeping California together.

it is true that we -- the intl so-called community, sat and watched and dickered while the aggressor state burned down bosnia, and many of the people, some burned alive, in the process.

but we shall no longer sit around and watch its final decimation. there will be yet another balkan war before that occurs, thank you very much.

Thomas Countryman, an obscurity hidden in a dysfunctional bureaucracy, is barely focused on what he'll have for lunch. The U.S. does not care what happens to the fictitious country of "Bosnia" and couldn't stop the Croats from leaving. The U.S. is seriously bankrupt and quagmired in Af-stan and Iraq and can't prop up fake countries like Bosnia and Kosovo. Try pushing back.

It is only natural for US to focus on Bosnia now. After all, this is the place on this earth where Mrs Clinton gained her valuable military experience which qualified her well for possible Commander in Chief position as stated during her presidential race. You know, when she came under sniper fire on the Sarajevo airport...Memories, sweet memories, when she lived so dangerously.

If Croatians want an entity in BiH then they must be prepared to offer Serbians an entity in Croatia (Krajina). If Croatians want their entity to become independent then they must be prepared to offer independence to the said Serbian entity.

I suspect that is the reason Croatia won't be getting an entity in the near future but this is a possibility later on (when the US loses interest in BiH).

I am thinking, Billary should rather focus on Island of Sodor

"Saying that although he understands political worries of the Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Countryman underscored that support of the international community in creating a new entity should not be expected."

I've always wondered whatever possessed the Bosnian Croats back in 1995 to agree to be part of the Federation in wish they must hsurely ave known that they would always be the junior "partner" in view of their being outnumbered.

So Croats in Bosnia do not even get their own entity. While Albanians in Serbia should get an own state according to US.

Why these double standards?

Maybe the Croats in Bosnia should ask their friends the Americans for an independent state...
