There is one big problem here, West doesn't need Serbia "to control the Balkans". This is the most stupid asserion I've ever heard! Almost all Balkan coutrie are in NATO which stabilizes them in a strong political and military alliance! Thus, Serbia needs to be in NATO for its own security and I would say stability. In other words, NATO needs to control Serbia so that it newer become an aggressive factor for its neighbours!

That "London expert" is expert on what? It is amazing that some irellevant and unknown "expert" has such an importance to be a news on your site? This is silly! EU will never admit Serbia into EU without Mladic and Hadzic. Serbs know that wery well and now they try to play a game. Serbia today, is still dangerous and unstable country in the region, to be honest a ral trouble-maker.

Exactly my point, thank you.

Serbia is a strong allie for any side to have. The west needs Serbia as an allie to keep the Balkans under control, and the Russians need Serbia for the same reason. I am glad you are admitting that when they bombed Serbia, it had nothing to do with those ridiculous claims of "genocide" and "hummanitarism" or the Albanian people...lol It had all to do with control and a reminder of who is the power of the world. Fortunatly for Serbia, the west is diminishing so they will not be a problem for much longer.

Adam-tanjug can't afford a paperclip, let alone paying analysts. Ridiculous assertion. Eyal has been pretty evenhanded in his analyses over the years actually.

To those of you who think the west is going broke - get real.

Even broke they are thousands of times bigger than you can deal with ….

…. and despite your dreams, they ain't going to go broke.

…. and despite your wishes, they ain't going to go away.

A typical case of selective memory loss. When Albania was almost completely isolated in Europe and even more Stalinistic than the Soviet Union had ever been help from the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China was highly appreciated and all that was "West" was cursed. Of course a lot has happened since that time, but without help from the East Albania might have completely collapsed. Unfortunately the poor Albanians do not realize that one day their moment of Western fame will be gone and then they will be dropped just like that. The US and the EU do not have friends, they have interests.

Who is us, Agim? You are not part of the west. Kosovo cannot even stand on it's own feet, now that the K Albanians are independent. They could when Belgrade was totally in charge. Nice job done by the west, but it will change. Serbia will have control of its southern province again, soon. Just wait and see. Has everyone noticed that the west is going broke, even NATO is concerned. They cannot support their little nation-building projects anymore. CCCC, God bless Srbija.

Then all we have to do is hold on until EUSSR and the NWO collapses & implodes in a two years time or so. We also have to keep an eye on what their local quislings are up to until we can get rid of them too. I can see a bright future further east...
