In other words; The media should praise the EU to sway the public opinion.

I guess the whole Nazi schooling is still in effect.

Old Soviet joke ' News headlines in Pravda - "The Soviet Union produced 500 million pairs of shoes this year"
The ordinary person asks "then why are we going barefoot?"

It doesn't matter bc 3/4 of those anti-EU Serbs will still vote for pro-EU parties rather than the DSS & SRS, plus with Russia's EU clout via the S. Stream and their long term interests in the EU, they'll be able get us in on fair terms even without a referendum if voting patterns ever do change once the pro-US leadership is fully replaced with pro-Moscow realists like in the anti-UDI states and soon in Germany & Italy

Yeah, nevermind the fact that 44% of Serbs want to join the EU.

That is not majority.

But hey, its not EU. Your not democratic UNLESS you believe in it.

Ironic, isn't it.

Judging from previous comments, it's apparent that some have begun to see the "EU has no alternative" for the rancid lie it is. Now an EU 'duckling' feels he has moral authority to tell Serb news agencies they should be more forceful in emphasizing the EU perspective to Serb readers and listeners. The EU, as noted by other commentors, is failing but it is still in need of slave labor to insure maximum profits for the "haves." The sooner the EU and NATO disappear the better the Slavic part of Europe will be. In the end, all of Europe will prosper once this anomaly recedes into history.

I'd like to think the media is already providing all the information people need about the EU. One only need to pick up a newspaper and read about entire countries defaulting on loans, bailouts from Germany, risks to the value of the euro, and growing pains from still digesting Bulgaria and Romania. The increasing disillusionment of EU membership among Serbs and Croats is well placed.

The reason why pro-EU sentiment in Serbia is falling is because the people see through your flashy propaganda and see you forcing Gayness, anti-SPC secularism, ethnic self-hatred, hypocrisy to RS and diplomatic thievery of KiM.

There was an excellent article in the financial times ( a mouthpiece for the city of london oligarchs)on the 16th of November called
"Europe'd dirty secrets" which exposes the machinations of the EU elites
looting of public treasuries in order to cover their speculative stunts on derivatives and mortgage securitization and introducing austerity programmes for their populations.

The crisis afflicting the eurozone cannot be solved within the conjectures of liberal capitalist economic policies. What we see in europe right now is lack of leadership for working people.Unless the working populations of europe unite and resist the attacks of the elites and the financial oligarchy on their jobs, homes and living standards Europe will probably move to a new system of goverment where democracy will become redundant.

Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert says that in their reporting on EU integration Serbian media should bring EU closer to citizens. In Croatia the government and the elite are pro EU. The pro EU camp is in the media 100% government endorsement and support so much dacemeted nonsense is put out by them. Even their polling questions are biased like, Would you be in favour of Croatia joining the EU if it brings prosperity to you. Like the EU = prosperity and people would say yes. Then the "elites" say see Croatians support joining the EU. But their is no fact finding what the costs wold be to the nation and the citizens. The nay sayers do not even get 1% support as the opponents of the EU. Even all that vast majority or not in favour of joining EU. It looks like Serbia citizens will be spoon fed the same nonsense of propaganda how good the EU is for Serbia by its government, elites and media with the citizens own tax dollars.

The €U propaganda ministery and their local obedient quislings can "inform" as much as they like, and they do get truckloads of money for it, but people doesn´t seem to be as easely fooled, tricked and threatened as first suspected:
"With the U.S. drowning in inflation and debt and the Eurozone shaking, suddenly the Empire doesn’t look so omnipotent anymore. Nor does the EU look like the promised land of milk and honey. Recent Gallup polls show that most Croatians are against joining the EU today, while EUphoria is on the wane in Serbia as well. It doesn’t matter that the government in Belgrade is unquestioningly obedient to any demand from Brussels or Washington; it is rapidly becoming universally reviled in Serbia itself."

The cost for the €U-anschluss is also too obvious to most serbians as well:
"Since Serbia’s phantom progress also depends on recognizing the Independent Kosovo, creating a new state out of its northern province of Vojvodina, surrendering a southwestern region to Islamic militants, ceding more land to "Natural Albania," organizing pride parades, hunting down Ratko Mladic, curing cancer, inventing cold fusion and discovering habitable extraterrestrial planets, what’s one more request added to the list?"
