"the west does not actually want a separate state of Kosovo; what it really wants is a peaceful cooperative solution. "

"The west" tried giving Serbia a mini-empire back in 1913 or so, including a Kosovo that really objected. It didn't work out too well, and I strongly doubt they intend to make that particular mistake again. If Serbia wants to be peaceful and cooperative, for it's own sake, that's to everybody's benefit, of course.

Spot on.

Play the west's game of enforced cooperation. That's the game everyone else plays. Serbia has learned what Croatia learned during the conflict - go along with the west's view and you get the best deal available, go against it and you are lost. In fact, cooperation is the only available way forward for Serbia.

For the Albanians the old game of playing hard done-by won't work in the future. Persistent non-cooperation or induced violence could easily weaken the kind of support that the Albanians have been getting. Support is not necessarily as secure as they think it is - the west does not actually want a separate state of Kosovo; what it really wants is a peaceful cooperative solution. Albanians in Kosovo should not assume that the west shares their ambitions. That cannot be taken for granted.

Politically Serbia can never give up on Kosovo - and the west know that. So the only answer for the future is to have an element of 'agree to differ'.

The thought will stay in everyone's heads that one day Serbia will want to reabsorb its province of Kosovo - but not for a long while yet.

Do retain that thought.

The autonomy argument is actually what is winning. Serbia is about to accept that Kosovo can be an autonomous entity for a long way into the future.

…. and that will be the defacto truth of the situation.

How many times you guys walked out of meetings, when Kosva reps were presnet in same room. Now, you are begging to sit and have a chat with Kosova reps. Strange world we live in, right?

According to Jeremić, the three main challenges faced by the Balkans today are the fight against international organized crime, reconciliation principally within the triangle Serbia- Bosnia-Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina whose territorial integrity and sovereignty Serbia supports. Yes Mr. Vuk/Wolf you support and Serbia support the territorial integrity sovereignty of the country of Bosnia i Herzegovina. Bunch of nonsense truly oxymoron you support Srpska entity and the Serb Dodik. How is trying to break half of it apart and join it to Serbia. That is why nobody believes Serbia/Serbs or you instead of telling Dodo Bosnia is your country and start behaving that way not undermining it. Especially after what Serbia and Serbs did in Bosnia and overwhelming 90% of the convicted criminals are Serbs from Bosnia,Serbia and their leadership.

Jeremić underlined once again that Serbia will never recognize Kosovo, either directly or indirectly.

Reading the above comment, and then reading the one below, it shows that Vuk does not know what he is looking for.

"The world (at the UNGA), by acclamation, supported the fact that dialogue is the only road to peace in Kosovo. We are looking forward to the start of that dialogue that should begin with less contentious issues. Then, more delicate subjects would be gradually approached. Serbia will have a constructive approach in the establishment of peace between Serbs and Albanians and the reaching of a compromise," the minister added.

The bottom line is; forget the dialog. Don't waste your time and our time.
