My comments are never aimed at changing your opinion, I know that is impossible. I am positive all three of you will go to your grave never knowing reality.

Wow, now who's confused, has obscured vision, wearing frosted glasses and more?

This is your opinion only and certainly does not make it fact.
Ever thought that perhaps you are the one who is wrong? Obviously not.
I don't want to change your opinion either. I don't care what you think but I will not let you get away with posting utter rubbish. I will reply and so will others. You cannot silence us by saying we are ignorant.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken. I don't really follow people's personas around here. Aren't you one of the "Kosovo je Serbija" lot? If so, make up your mind, are Kosovars Serbian citizens or not?

If I've mistaken you for someone else, I apologize.
(Danilo, 8 November 2010 14:00)

Oh, you are not mistaken. He is one amongst many that say " Kosova je Serbia".

@ Peggy.

You misunderstand the situation somewhat.

Anyone living in Kosovo (Serbian or Albanian) is entitled to a Serbian passport. However, anyone who's address is in Kosovo (Serb or Albanian) gets a passport from a different directorate which has a note in it and is not good for visa-free travel.

winston, sj, and Peggy. Exactly the response I expected from you three. As far as vision being skewed, no one can have a more skewed vision than the 3 of you, kind of like having your spectacles made of frosted glass. Peggy according to the agreement with the EU people from Kosovo are not allowed to participate in the visa regime, this includes the Serbian population. However, I understand all too well that a few dinar goes a long way in circumventing the system.
The comments of nationalistic Albanian and English being difficult to understand are very amusing, you have no idea how far off base you really are. Probably the frosted spectacles.

I'm somewhat perplexed. Having struggled for so long to expel anybody who isn't albanian, and having now achieved your aims, you still reject all notion of travelling on your own 'passport.' A passport is after all meant to represent a symbol of your country. You carry it around with pride. Yet here we are seeing 'kosova' documents cast aside for the hated Serbian variety. I recall the old Yugoslav passport was very handy as well for those with very little loyalty to the State which gave them a home and an identity. What price patriotism eh, when it can be bought with a little red booklet.

Kind of missed the point of the whole article. It is the Serbs in Kosovo that refuse any type of Kosovo passport and the only way they could get a Serbian one was to lie about their actual residence, now Serbia must deny them a Serbian passport or risk losing the visa liberalization for all of Serbia.
Talks of lifting the visa restrictions for Kosovo will alleviate the problem for the Albanians but the Serbs will be the ones with the dilemna ---Admit citizenship of Kosovo and not Serbia or no travel.
(a New Day, 7 November 2010 19:09)

I think you have missed the point of the article. The EU is not going to liberalise visas for Kosovo. They want to send back 200 000 Albos. Can you imagine what would happen? Within a short period there would be over a million leave Kosovo and go into the EU. That is real reason for the EU …..”exerting pressure with the aim to prevent this...”

The EU is hesitant in reaching agreement with Albania for the same reasons.

New Day, you are wrong. You see this situation through the eyes of a nationalistic Albanian, and that means your vision is skewed. The Serbs in Kosovo have no problem going in and out of Serbia, because it is all their land, just look up UN Resolution 1244, which is still the law of the land. It is actually the Albanians from KiM coming into Serbia, lying about their residence, and with corrupt Serb officials taking bribes, they are issued Serbian passports. That is where the problem lies. I am glad to see the crackdown, the last thing Serbia needs is ethnic Albanians with Serbian passports, going into Europe and abusing privileges that visa-free travel enables them to do. Did I manage to clear that up for you? English can be tricky at times.

Actually it is you who is missing the point. Any Serbian citizen can get a Serbian passport regardless of where they live and that includes Kosovo.
Where are you getting the idea that Serbs from Kosovo whose address states they are from Kosovo cannot get a Serbian passport?

Why would anyone from Kosovo falsify their residence. The Albanian commentators here say that the new "Kosova", is a great place to live - with an improving economy, Pristina is becoming quite the bustling city with a young, energetic population, a great nightlife, building going on everywhere. And, through the decades the Albanians have managed to pretty much ethnically purify Kosova of any minorities. Why would Albanians want to lie about where they live, so they can leave? I don't understand.
