Don't be surprised if the US doesn't recognize an independent Palestinian state. A two-state solution has been on the table for a long time.

it seems that serbs dont know anything about this conflict.
for example serbia has already recognized the independence of palestine with declared it in 1988 and also russia and china and most countrys of the world without eu und usa.

here we can see who really is the boss in the world and that is without any doupt the USA! the palestinians will never be independent without the approval of the USA!

By the way, Kosova is in much better position, since no Albanian freedom fighter ever exploded bombs in markets, planes, boots, took civilian hostiges, etc...Agim Kelmendi
This is the joke of the day. THat is exactly how the KLA started, blowing up bombs in cafes populated by Serbs. Their favorite, and cowardly, hit and run technique. As for not taking civilian hostages, well, I hate to break this to you, Agim, but there is this little business about missing civilians kidnapped and taken to Albania for "Organ-harvesting". It is going on today in Albania, only now children are kidnapped for their vital organs, used as sex slaves, and God knows what. Your brush only has one side, Agim.

Well there's a surprise - so that nasty business down south wasn't so "sui generis" after all. I wonder how long it will take Palestine to overtake Kosovo in terms of recognitions. My guess is about three weeks.

The number of countries that have recognized Palestine from the 1988 declaration of independence is not sure but it might be more than 100. They declared independence 20 years before Kosovo so it is logical that they have more recognitions. As far as the dirty business down south goes. Serbia as the succesor of Yogoslavia has recognized Palestine's UDI also.

Yes, but that's a dud question Dave, because Palestine, which declared independence in 1988 in fact, has laready been recognised by most countries in the world, more than recognise Israel actually (and quite appropriately so).

Wonder if the USA will recognize an independent Palestinian state? This will be very interesting, indeed. How will they explain their recognition of an Albanian Kosovo, and not a free Palestine?

Easy. The same way Russia recognizes Ossetia but not Kosova.

The Palestinian prime minister said that he will give Israel "one more year of grace...but these colonies can no longer be there. They are illegal everywhere; here and Jerusalem," the Jerusem Post reported.

Jerusalem, is preciselly the main obsticle for Palestinians. They can't claim as their own(meaning only palestinian) since Jerusalem belongs to three religions(Christian,Jew and Muslim).
