"Slovenia's display of "good neighbourly relations" over Piran Bay would be small beer compared to the mischief a Croatian government with a power of veto might be tempted to enact. Easiest not to give them the opportunity.
(Dave, 27 October 2010 17:26)"

By the same reasoning, they'd better wait for Kosovo to join along with Serbia.

It would make better administrative sense from a Brussels perspective to find an excuse (and there are plenty) to slow down Croatia's accession until Serbia can catch up. Keep in mind that Croatia began accession negotiations with the EU in 2005.

Actually I think I should keep in mind because it looks like I tend to forget that am always repeating myself..., most probably am getting very confused with all these people that are using my name and competing with me..

‘Serbia will join EU by 2018, Kosovo by 2017 and Swaziland and Leshoto by 2019. The status talks for Ghana is pending but according to my sources here in (public lavatories) in Brussels it will be in autum 2020 at the earliest.’

Stop using my name in this way!

Swaziland, Lesotho and Ghana cannot join the EU because they are in Africa, not in Europe. Besides, they are already members of the South American Economic and ballroom dancing League and they have no public lavatories that conform to strict EU flushing standards.

I can see why the person pretending to be you makes the kind of post he or she does, pretending to be a prophet. There is no way you can be sure of when Serbia will become an EU member based on Croatia. It could be longer or shorter, or not at all. Times and dynamics between people are always changing, so only time will tell what the future holds.

Do you know how many times you have repeated your "predictions". I haven't bothered to count them, but from what I have seen, the number is high. Why do you have such an obsession about this?

On 25 October Barroso said that he expects Croatia to finish accession negotiations with the EU by the end of 2011.

If Croatia finishes accession negotiations in December 2011 the country will sign the Accession Treaty in 2012.

Then, the Accession Treaty has to be ratified by the parliaments of the 27 EU Member States and by the Croatian parliament during the course of 2012 and 2013.

This means that Croatia will join the EU on 1 January 2014.

You Serbs should look at Croatia's accession process if you want to calculate when Serbia will join the EU.

Keep in mind that Croatia began accession negotiations with the EU in 2005.
