It seems rather sad , that if anyone other than Russia does anything to help facilitate Serbian interests , it is met with the usual derision , vitriol and suspicion. If Serbians dont want to join the EU , then dont. I mean if there is enough public support for or against an idea then nature , always following the path of least resistence , will gravitate to that idea (good or bad).
But lets at least be honest , the idea that somehow Europe needs Serbia more than Serbia needs Europe is , by any stretch of the imagination , simply a fantasy. The idea that somehow being in Europe is giving away your identity is again , another fantasy. The French are just as French (and arrogant) as they ever were , as are the Germans and so on. No organistaiton , institution or individual can tell you who you are. Its called free will. And last time I checked, we all have an equal measure.
The need to always see some form of conspiracy or dark forces at work does nothing to help nurture constructive dialogue and vision.
The opportunity to move forward for Serbia is at hand , I hope it isnt stifled by outdated myths , ignorance and blind fear of the future. I really hope all people of the Balkans can move past the chains that have held them back these past decades. That takes individual courage and not an "us versus them" mentality.

I suggest these people be put through a rigorous vetting procedure.

As to "Serbia unfairly neglected at the EP", it is not a case of neglect of Serbia but outright serbophobia, as practiced by Doris Pack, Kacin and the anti-serb lobby in the EP.

They deliberately kept Serbia at a distance and only do 'discuss it' when they needed a whipping boy. Serbia does not need the help of such people. I am sure there are other MEPs with less (or no) anti-serb baggage who would be much more welcome in "Friends of Serbia".

Well at the time when what should be called shame parade is called pride parade I do not wonder that such twist of words takes place.Recalls me Mady"the beuty queen" Albright who never failed to underline how much she likes serbs.

Slovenia is part of the S. Stream and bc of that, they've changed their tune a bit since the summer but what we're seeing from the Serbophobic crowd are the fading but still strong pro-US/UK bureaucrats. These conflicting contradictory msgs from the EU are normal for any B92 reader especially considering that even Tadic expects membership by mid-decade. Fear not. We'll join the EU with Ukraine, Belarus & Armenia. Then slowly via legislation, we will save Europe from Islam & Individualism

Lunacek a friend of Serbia? Now that is funny. Sorry, this damage control is nowhere near enough. The EU is losing grip over Serbia and it doesn't have the resources to hold on.

After reading the list of some these "friends", all I can say is, be careful, Serbia. I can also say I am a friend of K Albanians, but we know otherwise.
