"Serbian nationals have no reason to seek asylum"

The German ambassador says he does not believe that anyone from Serbia can justifiably refer to political persecution as a reason for requesting asylum.

I don't have the ethnic breakdown of those applying for asylum, but I can guarantee you that the vast majority, if not all, are of albanian extraction. The Belgrade government has bent over backwards to accommodate these people and their response is to make a mockery of the new visa liberalisation exemption. I hope they're punished when removed back to Serbia.

Unless of course these are Serbs from Croatia. Germany was very complicit in the destruction of Yugoslavia so perhaps they have some debt to pay.
