The link is very usefull as it does not take any side in the conflict and war.
The persons like you who look down at the others can not understand or just don't like to take their time to read the embeded book.
I am not trying to change your mind. I provided the link that's all

Everything you find in the internet proves you wrong. Instead of reading the analysis from private publishers who have never been in Kosovo try to read the Human Rights Watch. I already provided the link.
As for the leg to stand on I must remind you that you diaspora serbs stand on imaginary leg while enjoying the oportunities from the west where you have chosen to reside.

You posted 1 link, which demolished your credibility even more, you've been asked to try another...... we're waiting.

great post Simpatiku, but unfornatly this link will not do. It is mis-informed and filled with propaganda tactics dating back to the Stalinist-Era... and you called yourself an anti-Russian,, lol
.. yet something may be wrong with the website.

Anyways; Just for your information this organization is funded a part by the Clinton's.... biased rather.

That should be exactly the way Ben has explained. Before any orthodox church was burned, there were over 150 mosques and over 500 thousand homes burned by serbian forces.

Ben, it's the other way around. Albanians owe Serbs for all that. It was Serbian religious buildings that were destroyed and most non Albanian refugees haven't returned so who owes whom?

Your lot destroyed most of what was Serbian and now YOU want compensation? Are you for real?

Kosovo was supported by all the other republics in the former Yugoslavia. The Albanians always had their hands out, took the money, and never tried to improve their lives in a legitimate manner. They didn't own anything, everything in the province was owned by the state, Serbia. BTW, who in their right mind would have invested any money in Kosovo? (winston, 20 October 2010)

Winston did you just claim that all the other YU republics invested in Kosova and then 3 sentences later contradicted yourself by question who in his right mind would invest in Kosova?

And for the rest f the Serb posters I hope you realize what just happened there by Serbia asking for compensation? I'm not gonna tell you though I enjoy people living in denial.

Man this guy has no shame. Serbia still has not had enough of making K-Alb lives misserable. After all the wars, hate, conflicts, and destruction that they induced in Kosovo they want more from there. What a shame. Is this really necessary?

Not sure how is this going to help the "reconciliation" of Albanians and Serbs they talk about. And other neigbors will look at Serbia with a lot of misstrust.

Kosovo already took over $500 mil of debt from Serbia since Serbia considered it as Kosovo's share from the times of Yugo... now Serbia wants to take more.

How is that Serbia's property anyway?

Serbia never stops provoking and inflicting unecessary conflict and tension....
(Denis, 21 October 2010 22:33

We Serbs don’t like thieves and we will make Albos lives even more miserable. You have to teach them a lesson that you do not steal other people’s property. There will be no war – we will make sure your lives are so miserable that Albos will pack up and leave – that’s apromise.
Where is the US to help you guys????? Flying around wind bagging about more recognitions for “Kosova” that will not be forthcoming. You see Serbs stood up to the entire world while the Albos, Croats and Bosniaks were helped by the west and they could still not subjugate us. Perhaps you might want to take a few lessons from us.
More misery to come.

if Serbia can sue Kosova over supposed Serbian property, so can Kosova sue Serbia over the destruction and the massacres of people. Math is funny
(Hmmmm, 20 October 2010 20:15)
This is probably the main issue that will be negotiated in return for Serbia accepting Kosovo sovereignty. It is a fact that once inside UN Kosovo can utilize the ICJ to sue Serbia for reimbursement for the 90s.
With UNSC 1244(to include the previous reslutions) and the Rambouillet Accords to call for an end to the violence as evidence, the judgment should not take long.

Oh my God, so many comments for the question "will Kosovo pay or not"? But Bogdanovic core idea is far from this. He is claiming in other words that Serbia has definitley lost Kosovo, but we have to take something as a compensation. Our Serbian friends say that Kosovo belogns to Serbia, now my question is why should they ask for compensation for something they already own? It should be other way round, Prishtina should ask Belgrade to invest in infrastructure, new mosques, albanian schools, Prishtina Thermal Power Plant, etc.

AdamNYC

Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanović is a man voted for and represents no one in kosov.

irrelevant, and lateley... more and more irrational. seems always on the ready for a good laugh.

perhaps before reps of a foreign state decide to go off on outlandish fiction regarding kosovo... perhaps they should first Demand from the IMF that they be held accountable for the debt they long since slinked away from shouldering.

as it is, todays republic of serbia...not the continuation of the former yugoslavia...younger than the paper un1244 was written on, has never held kosovo in its existence.

Quite funny comments by the resident albanians here. The Word Bank (i.e. the US) 'forgave' $550m of Kosovo's debt last year (August 2, 2009):
http://www.b92.net/eng/news/business-article.php?yyyy=2009&mm=08&dd=27&nav_id=61409

As for calculating the value of Kosovo goods and products, if it is "so easy", then why are you lot incapable of putting a figure on it.

Let me make it easy for you, I will pluck the figure of $500 billion out of the air, and you can tell me if it is realistic and if not, what you think it should be (emotional and moral damages not included). Still, why ask your leaders and their relatives where all the money has gone since 1999, where the jobs, education, infrastructure et al when you can always claim it back on the Serbs? Who is it who is dreaming now? Go get a job.

johny

Bogdanovic I wouldn't even utter the word, compensation if I was a Serb. You know we can youtube which house of ours was burned.

Also a Serb you should not utter the word plunder either. We can also youtube what the Serbian state through its army plundered.

Foertunately there is precise evidence of how much mines from Kosova were exctracted in the last 60 years.

It is knonw the historical price of each of the minerals.

And it is easy to calculate how much of these export $ were reinvetsed in Kosova.

And since not all of us are suffering form demencia, and we all know basic algaibra we can also easily calculate:

- how much Serbia owns to Kosova by destroying over 120,000 houses;

Nobody will pay and fun times are repeating only for deluded serbian ministers.
Everything in Kosovo belong to Kosovo people. The occupation of this property done by Serbia in 1989 does not serve as argument for naming Serbia as owner of this property.
However if somebody from Serbia wants this to be confirmed by the court (considering the success Serbia had in the courts) then by all means go ahead.

Considering the privitization of state property was started under the direction of UNMIK, there is little chance any court outside of Serbia would rule in Serbia's favor and any ruling by a Serbian court would not be taken seriously.

That means that whatever the investment was done it's Kosova which is paying for it today.

BTW, I have seen a lot of news clips of the JNA leaving KiM in '99, I didn't see a single TV on any military vehicle. Finally we are getting to one of the main open issues: who owes what to whom. It is good that Serbia finally decided to put this issue on the table. The demand of the Albanians has always been war reparations for the houses and properties destroyed by the Serbian state in 1998-1999. Hopefully Serbia decided to open this issue by making its counterdemand on its investments. Never get any hopes high though, usually what Bogdanovic says is contradicted a few hours later (or earlier) by Ivanovic.

Hmm, for some reason this brought back memories, of real theft! TV scenes in 1999 Serbian Soldiers and Paramilitary leaving Kosovo. In their trucks/ tanks, TV sets, refrigerators, furniture, stolen money, leaving behind left 12,000 dead albanians and over 1 milion people displaced! How about that for theft and murder.

This sounds like a bit of banditism.

Kosova will compare the investments made in ex-yugoslavia and in Kosova.

As the difference will be in kosova's benifit, because Beograd has kept Kosova as poor as they can with almost no investment - especially if you compare them to the rest of ex-Yugoslavia - at all. The debt that Beograd has to Kosova will be hughly in the favor of Prishtina.

BTW, I have seen a lot of news clips of the JNA leaving KiM in '99, I didn't see a single TV on any military vehicle. What were the soldiers going to do with these TV's, carry them all the way back to their barracks, and then to their homes somewhere in Serbia, when they were discharged from service? Do you see how stupid your comments sound?

ben

Foertunately there is precise evidence of how much mines from Kosova were exctracted in the last 60 years.

It is knonw the historical price of each of the minerals.

And it is easy to calculate how much of these export $ were reinvetsed in Kosova.

And since not all of us are suffering form demencia, and we all know basic algaibra we can also easily calculate:

- how much Serbia owns to Kosova by destroying over 120,000 houses;
- hundreds of other properties,
- hunderds of religious sites,
- compensation for all innocent civilan victims that go to about 10,000,
- comepnsation for over 10 years of leaving entire Kosova without jobs and basic education and health care,
- pension funds of over 60 years of contributions that are still held by Belgrade.
etc

I think in the end of the day Bogdanovic will curse to have mentioned the word 'table' but this 'hesap' will be done- that's for sure, to the last cent.

miri

Didn't Belgrade deny paying the part of Yugoslavia's old debt that belonged to Kosova?
That means that whatever the investment was done it's Kosova which is paying for it today.
I'm sure Mr. Bogdanovic has no idea what he is talking about. He doesn't have the leverage or the expertize to talk about such issues as his role is just of that of the barking one.

Never get any hopes high though, usually what Bogdanovic says is contradicted a few hours later (or earlier) by Ivanovic.

alb jew

pre 13 godina

Oh my God, so many comments for the question "will Kosovo pay or not"? But Bogdanovic core idea is far from this. He is claiming in other words that Serbia has definitley lost Kosovo, but we have to take something as a compensation. Our Serbian friends say that Kosovo belogns to Serbia, now my question is why should they ask for compensation for something they already own? It should be other way round, Prishtina should ask Belgrade to invest in infrastructure, new mosques, albanian schools, Prishtina Thermal Power Plant, etc.
