From the minute Germany decided to play foreign policy for the first time since 1930's,waded in and recognised Croatia, Serbia's chance of joining EU was doomed. Serbia was never going to be anything but strung along, dangled by whatever hook was available. Of course, it is good for Serbia not to be inside the EU club dealing with the unknownss and the Ashton's and all the little nonentities strutting around protected by their convoluted titles and propped up by our taxes which would be far better used reopening our steel mills and shipyards and manufacturing plants. A more traitorous bunch of quislings would be hard to find.
The only role for a once great trading nation like Holland in modern Europe is to ensure a decent supply of good quality hashish and grass for the rest of us as well as the freedom of Gert Wilders to speak his truths. Beyond that Holland means nothing.
