well, I agree at least with one conclusion of these socalled stratfor"experts":

times are changing, and time is on Serbia´s side.

Serbia can only win - either way, the future is ours.

and Tadic and his comrades will have to think it over, before they dare to give in to foreign oppression.

Joe--I understand what you are saying, and that is why Germany started WWII. A reaction to WWI. But it was also their own aggression. I am happy the US had so much money for the Marshall Plan. But this is not the mid-1940's.

Serbian has always been the" house in the middle of the road."" Tough place to be. But they never seem to handle it well.

After the assassination of Djindjic, Tadic has been letting the mental patients run the show while he has hidden in a closet. Well, the insane are evidently getting smarter and more organized by the day. Chaos played into the advantage of the corrupt to make their "indecent wealth." And now Tadic wants it to settle down. Sorry, the dogs have been unleashed and dangerous. They are making money off of this and garnering recruits. I know poverty does this to a country.

Black masks--they look like the terrorists they are, no matter what they call themselves.

Not at all justifying what has happened the last couple of days but if the West had treated Serbia a bit more fairly over the last decade, things today might have been different. Serbia has been kept in the dog house for far too long. People become cynical and radical. Nationalism and radicalism then become safe havens for bruised egos. If Germany after WWII had been treated like Serbia has been treated, then -in respect to the severity of the crimes done by Germany- the country would still be in ruins.

Another excellent contribution by the Stratfor (whose analyses in early internet era were free to all). I have sensed a real danger in the past year of Serbia's politicians risking denigrating their own peoples' legitimate concerns. Issues like the rush to the possible mirage of EU membership (as with Turkey), the crass Kosovo cave-in and a lack of definition in economic policy. Many ordinary, non-radicalised people within Serbia, a Christian nation, will be very worried by the EU political elite being so embarrassed by our Christian history and the idea that accepting gay couples should naturally extend to the core areas of human existence-children, marriage with the inevitable risk that normal reltionships themselves are seen as something odd do concern people. The politicians would do well to ask themselves how many people who weren't in Genoa or weren't on the marches against Gay Pride sympathise witht teh views being expressed. I sense it could be a very large number of people.
At the moment Serbian's want to wwork in productive jobs, mothers want to see their children in good schools and businessmen want to trade and rediscover entrepreneural freedoms to trade and build businesses. They don't want to be told they are bad people living in the past and irrelevant to the future of their country, nor do they want to feel that their neighbours (particularly Croatia)are constantly being treated more fairly by other nations than they are.
