The EU won't be good for Serbia. Serbia would be treated as a 3rd class EU country (after Romanian and Bulgaria which are treated 2nd class). Food prices would skyrocket - Bulgaria's have quadrupled since joining the EU and now they go to Macedonia to purchase food. And Serbia may lose out on the free trade deal with Russia - a deal that is beginning to lure some EU countries to invest in Serbia (despite Serbia not being in the EU) so they can export to Russia.

Serbia has done things to harm and cripple itself to please the EU, yet never is the EU really satisfied and they can always come up with condition after condition.

Serbia should top pandering after the EU and trying to please them and just repair itself and work more with non-EU countries.

EU countries still do business and invest in Serbia anyways. But some of the recent best investors are non-EU. A South Korean company investing in Serbia is putting more Serbs to work than the EU companies which often condition job-culling before and after they take over (like Zastava).

It may not be a bad idea,...as after 30-40 years Serbia (with decline in population, economy and political influence it is likely that) will join Kosovo and become part of future original ILLYRIA, where all people will have democratic rights and minority Serbs should feel pretty safe...

After all this is nothing just "wheel of history turning back"

He told B92 that the example of the two Germanys until 1990 "can serve as a model for Serbia and Kosovo" only in that they should cooperate on practical issues without recognizing one another.

And look what happened to the two Germanies thereafter. I would hold that up as a very strong example to Serbia and Kosovo and to the countries who would advocate Kosovo independance.
