Now days you to have to choose to be pressured by USA or Russo-Chinese. The Netherlands chooses the first as we Albanians, while the Serbs, Iranians, and Libyans the second ones.

During the war, Serbs did what they wanted with the idea that they would not face justice. The war is finished and barely 50 faced justice for the rapes, the killings... As long as justice is not made to the victims, Serbs would have a great problem to integrate the community of nations.

Do you actually have any friends in Belgrade exept the 200 000 Albanians that live in peace and are accepted by their Serbian neighbours and citizens of Serbia?

When you refer to your friend who was so sure about Mladic being in Belgrade I came to think about the practical joke that were played to your college (if you are a journalist as you claim) Roy Gutman back during the Bosnian war.
It even resulted in the fiction caracter from the novel "Hero on a donkey" Gruban wich the joke was about, being wanted by the Hague Tribunal until -98, hilarious !

Post some references to any of the articles you have written if you are a journalist as you say you are.
What harm could it be to you if your credibility on this site increased?

And BTW about Mladic hiding in Belgrade. If your friend had any knowledge about Serbia he would know that Belgrade would be the least safe place to hide for Mladic in Serbia.
To many people in Belgrade that doesnt care about him and would sell him out for a fraction about what the wanted money is.
If he is still in Serbia wich I doubt, my money would be on he is hiding somewere in Sumadija, probably around Valjevo or some other known anticommunist place....

Just let us all hope for Serbias sake that he is actually hiding in Russia, Belarus or living under fake identity in western Europe just as Karadzic traveled to Austria and Italy with fake passports :-)

The longer Serbia is hold hostage to the Dutch and other major powers in EU the more the people in Serbia will se the joke EU actually is! Hopefully one day we will have majority of people in Serbia against EU, just as they are against NATO membership today.

In Shqip we call it Hollanda (Holland).

WIKIPEDIA ON THE SUBJECT:

Holland is a name in common usage given to a region in the western part of the Netherlands. The term Holland is frequently used to refer to the whole of the Netherlands. This usage is generally accepted but nevertheless unofficial.[1]
(KOSO, 8 October 2010 01:55)

I did not know that, but it seems that maybe that the Netherlands is actually called Holland in more languages?

-Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukčević reacted to this by saying that the arrests remain a priority, but that they may prove difficult considering the network of support the indictees have.

As for Brammertz's statement that Mladić is within reach of Serbia, Vukčević said the Hague Tribunal official would be visiting Belgrade on November 8 and on that occasion "have an opportunity to resolve all dilemmas". --

This story can be filed under SOS -- same ole... silliness.

we really, really intend to get em, but -- bla bla bla, fill in the lie.

then their apologists: the amers, the dutch are the real evil ones, we're so innocent, and even if we're not, we're the brave anti-imperialists...

exact same lies and fake rationalizations that went on throughout the 90s, while milosevic and his many, many all-too-willing executioners were spreading their fun.

thank god for brave little holland. the netherlands, whatever, who cares! thank god for them. their forces made a horrible mistake in '95, largely because they had no backing from the intl forces. a plague on all our houses. but it doesn't change things one iota.

bring mass-murderer mladic to the hague to stand trial, or you will NEVER come near the eu. period.

how we allow such a regime to continue to harbor such an evil mass-murderer, as they, all the while, thumb their nose at the world and at intl justice, that is the real sin.

The EU wouldn't be good for Serbia. It would greatly raise food prices like it did in Bulgaria - 4 times as much as before EU. Now Bulgarians are going to Macedonia to purchase food.
And Serbia would not be treated as equal to other more western EU countries. Romanian and Bulgaria are treated second class.

Serbs ought to stop wanting the EU as it makes Serbia do things that aren't good for it in any way.

Serbia had better employment and pay under sanctions that it currently does these days. Private companies were actually doing pretty well under Milosevic. Utilities were also cheap and University education for many was free or practically free.

And at this rate...we're in round 5 of a 15 round bout.

In relative terms methinks "Kosova" ain't even out of ground zero yet! And maybe never will be!

yes, Kosovo doesnt have a ground to stand on, concidering the fact they are indeed apart of Serbia.

I always thought the name of the country was the "Netherlands" not "Holland" which is two provinces in the Netherlands.
(Ian, UK, 7 October 2010, 17:08)

It is, Ian, but unless I am mistaken, in certain languages like Serbian or Russian, the name of the country is Holland for whatever reason. Like you I have asked a few people about this myself.

I am alittle bit ashamed by my fellow serbs.. Why dont we do a civilian boykott against Heineken and Philips for starters? No need for Heineken to be one of the best selling foreign beers in Serbia..

«I am a little bit ashamed by my fellow serbs»

During the war, Serbs did what they wanted with the idea that they would not face justice. The war is finished and barely 50 faced justice for the rapes, the killings... As long as justice is not made to the victims, Serbs would have a great problem to integrate the community of nations.

Now days you to have to choose to be pressured by USA or Russo-Chinese. The Netherlands chooses the first as we Albanians, while the Serbs, Iranians, and Libyans the second ones.

I did not know that, but it seems that maybe that the Netherlands is actually called Holland in more languages?

Do you actually have any friends in Belgrade exept the 200 000 Albanians that live in peace and are accepted by their Serbian neighbours and citizens of Serbia?

When you refer to your friend who was so sure about Mladic being in Belgrade I came to think about the practical joke that were played to your college (if you are a journalist as you claim) Roy Gutman back during the Bosnian war.
It even resulted in the fiction caracter from the novel "Hero on a donkey" Gruban wich the joke was about, being wanted by the Hague Tribunal until -98, hilarious !

Since you said this in another post a few days ago:

"if anyone is interested, i would be happy to share some of my sources and will eventually have an article covering this period.

thank you.

Ian,
You can use both,
in the middle century's around the Dutch golden age(400 years ago) the province Holland was the strongest and most Rich province in the region and internationally it was like the USA from that time (based on economic aspect) that is why in many country's people still use Holland for the Netherlands which means low country's.
(P.S. even Chinese say Holland.)
