Well it's the 16th today and not one new recognition. When is all this supposed to happen?
All at once or are we going to get a drip feed?

KOSO, are you aking B92 to photoshop his picture in order to make him more attractive?
There is only so much media can do.

Same boring stories. But now the new recognition are even "guaranteed". A new quality, compared to the dozens of new recognitions that have been coming immediaely after the ICJ ruling? ;-)

Dear Serb Friends,

Since Serbia is attempting (I think very hard) to join Europe, what will do in Kosovo/a deal. Do you think you can do it, fight hard (I have in mind Don Qihotue) . Are you trying to foll somebody or yourself? Do you really believe that?

Mr hyseni it does not matter how many recognitions you get! As long as Russia, china, India, Brazil, and the 5 eu members And most importantly Serbia you will never be a legitimate state! You will always be a Serbian province under un/NATO protection. And don't even bother trying for more recognitions because they'll be useless when a compromise is found on the status of Kosovo in the upcoming negotiations. If you really think that status won't be discussed then you are a complete idiot. How do you expect "Kosovo" to be a country with 60% of the world refusing to recognize it's right to exist as a country? How do you expect to join the eu when 5 countries in it don't recognize you as a country and when 50%+ of you border is with Serbia which claims all of your so called "kosova". How do you ever expect to be a real internationally recognized country? Tell me how, anyone! How can "Kosovo" be an actual country when Russia china India and 5 of the eu member states refuse to recognize it unless Belgrade does which will NEVER happen. Come on any ideas my albaian friends?

@Ruben:
no, you´re utterly wrong, Kosovo is not gone.

perhaps, you are just trying to promote that illusionary thought, but... actually, nothing is "gone".

if you aimed at giving some of the k-albanian kiddies in here a warm feeling - then you might have succeeded, but..
that´s all I guess.

don´t fool yourselves, Serbia won´t allow this illegal land-theft. I mean the serbian poeple.
if some serb official should dare to do something against serb interests in this question, he or she would risk more than only the own political future, and ... the poeple would stand up against every betrayal.

so, better take into account that sooner or later, Serbia will prevail, since the law is stronger than brutal force.

and Serbia will be ready, when the time has come.

Kosovo is loosing pecious time and good opportunities with Mr. Hyseni. This statement itself shows he is not the right person for this job. Serbs have good reason to laugh on him, although I don't think it is appropriate to blame someone for his looking. Among the commenst here, I think Mike hit the eye. One must completely agree to his translation.

KOSO,

You are wrong.

The recognitions are going slow, but Hyseni cannot travel to meet leaders in the countries that have not recognized Kosovo. There are protocol obstacles that don't allow for these kind of meetings.

They are only possible in the framework of international conferences if the organizers and the hosts would allow it. Another venue is in the UN headquarters.

In this context, Serbia will continue to have the upper hand.

I see no point in rushing the recognitions. Many countries are politely waiting for Serbia to recognize Kosovo. Their wait is not limitless and it is up to Serbia to take advantage of this opportunity.

There is no going back to the former situation and the Serbs know that Kosovo is gone. Delaying the recognitions, pushing an economic blockade and inciting some level of instability in Kosovo is their only consolation and is to be expected and understood.

I do hate this type of politics, it so reminds me of communist times - official announcements of statistics being x times better than last year, that we have x numbers of countries more that we are trading with, or in this case that x number of countries will recognise.

Its so insulting to the intelligence.

Did the last recognition change anything for "Kosova"? Did the 10 recognitions before that change anything for "Kosova"? Not even the next recognition(s) wont change anything, unless it comes from Serbia.

KOSO

winston,

any independent thinker would know that B92 uses archived pictures of Kosovo officials to make them look desperate and impotent and the Serbian leaders as powerful. Here in America where I reside about 5 months a year I get the same pleasure from FOX "NEWS" -- they have the most people that appear on their show, if they don't agree with that person FOX tends to stretch their face and discolor his image to make him/her subconsciously to be seen as negative by the viewers.

Back to Hyseni, he should be the new president..a position with no responsibility. We need a Foreign Minister that doesn't just resort to meeting UN ambassadors in New York but actually hits the road and visits presidents, PMs, and political parties world wide; that's how you persuade recognitions. Then I would make Bexhet Pacolli to be the Foreign Minister.

Are Russia and China in those 60 country's?
if not don't waste your time for any more recognitions,
if they don't recognize you, you won't be getting a UN Seat
as well the 5 EU country's if they don't recognize you no EU
as simple as that.

Priština FM Skender Hyeni, what a face! How could anyone resist this charmer? Anyway, this is just more Pristina BS. I will believe the recognitions when they happen. The rest FM Hyeni, is as I stated, BS. IMHO, this charismatic Albanian diplomat should join that other charmer, Fatmire, and go play shuffleborad somewhere in a KiM retirement home.

"He told Albanian ALSAT TV that about 60 countries had promised Priština that they would soon consider recognizing Kosovo.

“I’m not saying that 60 countries will recognize us because statements are often maliciously interpreted or reported in a way they were not made,” Hyseni stressed.

“I guarantee that at least ten countries have set deadlines within which recognitions can happen. Either way, I don’t intend to rush and declare recognitions by any country before they happen,” the Kosovo official concluded."

I do however think we'll get 10 recognitions, but I don't want to prematurely declare anything until they decide they're going to do anything.

Awesome.
