I was going to let it slide, but - if American English is what you're using, how about calling it the "fall session" (rather than "sitting")?
On "The Autumn of the Patriarch": "autumn" has a more poetic, melancholy feel to it than the every-day "fall." It's also used where there is not enough context to ensure that the correct meaning of "fall" is understood - "The Fall of the Patriarch" would probably be read as "The Downfall ..."
Here in New England, the two words are used almost interchangeably. "Fall" is preferred for headlines as saving a couple of letters.
