Yes, Your patriarch is trash.

What is the difference between Him and Milosovic?

What is the difference between him and ANY rampant nationalist?

What is the difference between the ideology he spews and ideology of the serbs youve sent to the hague?

Whats the difference?

Its Extremism Cravenly Hiding behind the Guise of Religion.

Now what does that remind you of?

Why is it unthinkable in the mind of god fearing peace loving spiritual leader cannot fathom living in peace and getting along Now?

Yes, im sure Peggy and all you other hatefull empty people would like nothing better than to see the region plunge into another couple of decades of murderous turmoil.

to fulfill EXACTLY what this "man of peace" teaches you.

It is rather annoying to speak about the freedom and speak about living together when we saw what happened to non Serbs just 10 years ago. Now, patriarch say's: Why can't we live together in peace?!!!
Well patriarch (and all other posters here), YES WE CAN. And this is what institutions and Albanian people of Kosovo is trying to do. But please, don't ask as to live under Serbian Authority any longer. This is not feasible for Majority in Kosovo.
Now, as a religious personnel, you should explained to believers one should respect the place where one lives.
So, ALL KOSOVO citizens, respect your home, your state, the place where you want to live. Consider it as yours...
Albanians from Kosovo have always shown strong interest in living in peace. But, this was not sufficient and that's why Kosovo Autonomy has been disregarded, people forced out of their homes, WAR happened, by killing burning and forcing out everything that was Albanian.
You see, it didn't work...
Now, it is different. Kosovo institutions and international community are very hard working in creating a Kosovo as better as possible.
Serbs should help too.
Because there is only one path for Kosovo: INDEPENDENT and nothing less.
Take it or leave it...
The history clock does not go backwards...
ONLY FORWARD...
The once helping in this process, they will feel whiners much quicker than the others that are giving everything they have just to prevent this process...
Therefore, join Kosovo good cause and become INDEPENDENT same as Kosovo is, or live in a dark past without me...

How well you have been brought up. You must be a source of pride and joy to your parents and all who know you.
What exactly is political and nationalistic in what he said?
Any head of any religion would make the same speech if his followers were in danger of extinction on a certain terrotory. There is nothing political in what he said and certainly made a lot of sense to everyone except the Albanians.

Keep posting like this. The more you post the more people get to know you guys.

svojgazda,
you can come and visit the monasteries without problem as long as you are not a war criminal and you respect the people living in kosovo and their choice and their will to live in a free and independant kosovo!

You people keep mentioning respect all the time but you don't know the meaning of it.
Take a look a AdamNYC comment and all will be clear.

Nobody is going to respect you for as long as you behave in a barbaric manner. Stop with hateful and stupid comments and violence against non Albanians and perhaps you will be getting a bit closer to being respected. Until then, no respect for the likes of you.

Adam, you are the vile one. How dare you call our Orthodox patriarch vile? You, and people like you, will never see peace in Kosovo in your lifetime, and it is because of people like you. Serbia has put out its hand in reconciliation, but people like you would rather break it. I just want to see the world rid of hate mongers like you. Maybe then we can have some reconciliation and unity.

The words "fee" and "independant" doesn't go with Kosovo. It called an oxymoron, just so you know.

I am neither Serbian Orthodox nor Abanian, I am a practicing Roman Catholic from Australia. As someone who strongly believes in the dignity of ALL people , let me offer the best wishes to the new Patriarch , and prayers that hope, peace and understanding are afforded to all peoples in Kosovo - regardless of ethnicity or politcal views. I think this is somehting we can all agree with.

A great day for the Orthodox faith. Despite the sectarian comments on here this is a great day for me. Less than 2 years since joining the Serbian Orthodox Church the Patriarch is enthroned on my birthday.

I live in a Muslim country and even my Muslim colleagues (Shi'a & Sunni) wished me regards today - and not just for my birthday. Some will even vista for Slava on Nov 8th, just as they did last year.

(laki bani, 3 October 2010 15:40)"

Laki Bani,

To be honest, I think that you should spend more time studying some relevant history instead of posting nonsense her. The ceremony to enthrone the Serbian Orthodox Patriarch has been held in Pec since 1346. And suddenly this ceremony has become a political act? It is political because Albanians think of it like that. Serbs do not have to be tourists in Kosovo. Lots of Albanians were/are guests in Serbia and look how they have behaved/behave.

No no no,,,these words for peace with honorable albanians, this is something that is pure false,at the moment you are refering to ' southern Serbia Province' don't expect to have peace with albanians. For us ( as you know we are more than 90 percent ) there is no such a province , we are called Kosova, so Irinej if you want to have peace start to learn to refere to that name and learn it cause you will need it.
By the way I am so sorry Nikolic wasn't allowed to enter ' his province'......

"For centuries the Peć Patriarchate has been a place where enthronements of Serbian patriarchs take place." Have the enthronements been political acts for centuries, Laki? Why can you not accept that the Serbs have been in KiM for centuries? BTW, I want to come to Kosovo and visit my monasteries without police protection. Kosovo is the land of my ancestors. And if I feel like I want to speak out about the politics there, I should have the right - if Kosovo is truly to be a democratic society, and not one that is censored.

winston

pre 13 godina

A totally idiotic statement Laki Bani. Since when are enthronements political? Albanians better get rid of their persecution complexes, or they will self destruct. And why can't I come to Kosovo if I disagree with you, or your government? It's a free world, no? Or is Kosovo free?

svojgazda

Unbelievable, someone actually disagrees with my comment. Whoever you are, do you believe that people visiting KiM's monasteries should for eternity need police escorts? I just do not understand some people, why the constant hate?

Svojgazda, you are welcomed in Kosovo at any time, you and anyone else are encouraged to visit Kosovo as a tourist. You will be secured by Kosovo Police, Kosovo Army and peaceful Kosovo people. Eventually, this doesn’t apply to those who intend to visit Kosovo with spoiled minds.
