France is not doing something different than other Western countries which under the excuse of "longevity" are cutting the real value of pensions and at the same time extending the pension age.

The simple truth is that western countries are indebted so much because they had to bail out the money junkies of the big banks.

Present and future obligations in social security and pensions will lead western countries to default.

The French government wants to raise the retirement age to 62, big deal. It's already 66 in the US, and I would not be surprised if congress raises it to 70, very soon. Don't you just love governments. They take your hard earned retirement benefits, spend it (waste it) on all types of things, and when the citizens need their retirement money, the care keepers of these funds say, "we don't have it". Storm the Bastille, I say.

This is just the beginning of popular unrest against a non-democratic neo-liberal sovjet union of europe. All the way from Latvia to Spain and the greeks showed the way.

Keep it up and tear down the Bastille in Brussels!
