Tadić: Serbia to enter EU in 2015

2018 is the earliest, so 2020 is realistic. MAYBE, 2018 if EU solves their financial crisis (very unlikely) so this makes sense. Of course politicians take off a few years but 2018-2020 it is. If EU even exists until then, Greece and other Balkan countries are doing an excellent job in dismantling it.

Remember it was 2007, 2014...now 2016...

It won't happen, johnny. Serbia will never recognize an independent Albanian Kosovo. I see autonomy as the realistic solution, in way KiM will function, for sure. The Albanians will continue to call themselves independent, and still have their hands out to the internationals, and continue taking orders from them. If you want to call that independence, fine, enjoy it. Deep down inside, we all know that Kosovo is Serbia - always was always will be.

guess 2015 is when RUS is expected to clear out the dying pro-US/UK bureaucracy in Brussels and replace it with rising pro-RUS realists who know that the S.Stream will change everything. Good talking but it will come to a point that these so-called parties (I hope id did not mean political parties) have to make big decisions that only countries can take. For example accepting respective passports, discussing freedom of movements, agreement in fighting crime and corruptions, the standart of respect for minority rights in respective territories if you like...I just can not see any way of a return to Kosovo under Serbia sovereignity or territorial integrity.

once and for all...SERBIA has taken around 3 - 3.5bn EUR in handouts in the last 4 years. If there is a country that depends on handouts, it's Serbia.

Even the 1.2bn EUR promised to Kosovo during the doners conference will be in stages lasting until 2012 - 2015 whereas your country has already taken that money out. Serbia is depending on IMF to cover the budget deficit per monthly basis.

Ask Japan why it devalued its Yen two weeks ago; and what it was doing to its economy. Any currency that is artificially high or low with regards to what the market is doing is not necessarily a good thing.
