Minister bemoans "sticks but no carrots"

There are no carrots from the EU and US because they are all rotten. Just wait until the fresh juicy ones come from the east. Not only Serbia but many of our neighbours' mouths will start to water. The feast in the east will be one Serbia enjoys for a very very long time. These problems we have with the west are only temporary as time is on our side.

If Kosovo is not sorted out now in a fair manner it will be sorted out in 10 or so years time on Serbia's terms.

Well Dacic It doesn't take Einstein to realize that Europa are hypocrites. Serbia should turn east and forget about the EU and their destructive politics agains Serbia. Have we no pride and honor? Join Europe and give up our identity and our free will! No thanks! We should turn to mother Russia. Let them build military bases all over Serbia and let them help us build nuclear weapons. Just to make sure America and their hypocrite lapdogs, the europeans, never touch our territory again.

One of two possibilities Mr. Dacic. I will base these possibilities on your apparent interpretation of carrot and stick.

1) You and your friends knew all along that you were only going to get sticks, and you are now pretending to bemoan it.
2) You and your friends are so foolish that you actually thought you would get a carrot on that stick.

Either way, you and your friends are unfit to rule Serbia, either because you are traitors knowingly betraying Serbia, or because you are so foolish that you actually thought you would get something other then venom from a snake.

On top of that, do you even realize what you are saying about carrot and stick? Look at the definition:

Go on donkey, that may be what you believe you are, but the True Serbs are not donkeys and are not looking for any carrots on a stick held by snake or a donkey.

(Just in case I get responses from some of the petty people that I have seen here playing smart but not being clever, I am not actually asking Dacic any questions and expecting an answer)

Quite simply, the carrot on the stick being shoved in front of our noses is EU membership so they move it in the direction they want Serbia to move.

You are absolutely correct about the sell-outs either knowingly selling out (likely) or being too stupid to realise (unlikely). Either way, they don't belong in government except it seems even Nikolic has sold out now.

So lets wait for some nice and juicy carrots to come from the east. Our donkey needs to change direction.

It is possible that Nikolic has also sold out, but I think it might be the case that he realized that the only way he would be voted into power, is to make EU part of his priorities, because there are too many Serbs that have been tricked by the EU illusion, as was seen in the last election.

I'm not that optimistic about Nikolic. He has basically destroyed the opposition. After the next election I'd say there will be enough support to form a government (SNS, DSS and Radicals) except for the divisions in place. If this division is a planned decoy, then hats off.

I have a very easy unworkable solution. Just say NO to the EU enlargement and see how the rats scurry back to their holes. The EU is such a laughable institution, but the sad part is that most Serbs in Serbia believe all that nonsense about better living standards.

This carrot and stick nonsense is just a bad act. The EU’s money bags are empty but they are promising heaven and earth. Why is the UK slashing its budget by 25% this year alone if the “world is rosy”? The latest statement made by several bankers describing the EU is “bankrupt and unable to be sustained into the future”.

As far as Nikolic is concerned, I thought that he was a “Judas Goat” to start with and now there is no doubt. He would sell out his own mother for a couple of Euros – look at his history; first with the Radicals then after there was no more money to be made with them/Milosevic he become a convert to the EU.

The very sad part about all this is the fact that Serbia’s living standards increase it will be due to Serbs slowly getting themselves out of this economic quagmire but their politicians will sell it as the fruits of “cooperating with the EU”.

The only carrot offered by the EU/US is to BUY OUT Serb politicians. All the money “given to Serbia” by the EU/US was only for those purposes and nothing else.

Lets hope that our people don’t make a decision in haste that they will live to regret in leasure.

Visa liberation is a carrot. What else do you expect? You cannot become an EU member by ditching the rules. First they give you a carrot like visa liberation then you follow the rules just like the rest that are waiting on the line. Not recognizing that visa liberation is a carrot is ungrateful to say the least.

Ivica Dacic looks like an honest guy while speaking of carrots & sticks. However does he understand that when a carrot is promised and you do'nt get it and you accept it, you might be presented with more sticks. Papandreou promised you entry to the SI of social-democratic parties, but still Tadic is internationally pretending to be New Labour himself. This socialist could be convincedby Socialist Ashton to forget about the Kosovo resolution. Shortly therafter horrible Telecom and other things happened in Kosovo. Not even EU associationjagreements were realized in time. Now you realize that you have been cheated, your coalitionpartners are stealing and not really reforming. The latter is really important to be admitted in the EU. Don.t cry if Ashton only has place for Germanies friend Croatia.
Make a new coaltion with real reformers, dump the imposters. Become a real social democrat.
