Slightly illogical comment; Israel, after all, I also emphatically on Serbia’s side, and especially the extremists running that country now.
(DimTuc, 29 September 2010 13:29)

I can't blame you for the lack of consistency for sure. Probably the opposite is true as well. I do not see any difference between terrorists of different breed, be them supported by Bin Laden, Basayev, Ahmadinejad, Izetbegovic, Hamas or KLA. They are just terrorists and there is no such thing as "just" terrorist cause.

What is also common for all of them: they love to use civilian "shields" and civilian deaths are (for them) welcome because such horrible event only boosts their cause.

Alone for that the maximal protection of civilians is necessary and the resp. country governments should set as the goal#1 to improve the relations with the civil population related ethnically to the terrorists. Unfortunately that never was done properly.

“international pariah state” etc (me)

“Just curious, what our omni-present Voice of San Francisco™ can add to that sentence. He will probably keep silence because you are from Albanian camp.
(Curious..., 29 September 2010 01:42)”

Well, he can speak for himself; I also wish people like he would be more consistent, especially when it comes to massive ethnic cleansing and destruction of other peoples, but that applies to many people on all sides, not just Frisco. To his credit, however, he has made it clear that he is very critical of Israel and its actions on many counts, especially the monstrous Gaza operation.

international pariah state which has violated international law (in order to destroy another people) more than any other state in the world.

Israel does not want to join the EU, Drown. No one is saying that. What I am saying is, why is she making statements in the name of the EU, and says they disapprove? The middle east is not an EU issue. The EU, like their big brother DC, act with a strong arm against smaller nations they can bully, and are impotent against nations that can hold their own. Get it?
(winston, 28 September 2010 17:21)

That is different from China and Russia, how? Yet I don't see you complain about those? My bad; I forgot they're on Serbia's side so they're good. That's how the world has always functioned and today is no different. If you want to complain based on principle you complain about all of them. You can't cherry-pick and then act like you're acting on principle.

Good to know you "regret" it Cathy, so now quit your sad regretting and losing sleep and impose draconian blanket sanctions on this international pariah state which has violated international law (in order to destroy another people) more than any other state in the world.

Since when does Israel want to join the EU?
Not sure what they teach for geography either.

Why not go to Israel and try and twist their arms too, Catherine, like you did with the Serbian politicians. Oh, you can't, because Israel is a strong nation, with a strong military.

"The position of the EU is very clear: settlements are illegal under international law, constitute an obstacle to peace and threaten to make a two-state solution impossible," the European Union's foreign policy chief said in a statement issued late on Monday.

B92

Ashton just remembered that there is such a thing called "international law" but is only applicable to countries such as Serbia,North Korea, Iran but not to Israel,US and EU.

The fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and the Hague regulations of 1907 clearly forbid the settling of people from the occupiers country to the occupied territory.

Therefore, the settlers are living illegally in Palestinian territory.

The settlers problem was created intentionally by the state of Israel and their international Jewish lobbies to make it impossible for the Palestinians to have a state of their own and this problem will only be resolved if the Israelis
rehoused them somewhere on its own legitimate land.

We have criminals here in the eyes of International Law and Israel wants these extremists to set the agenda for peace talks.

I have never been hopefull on the success of any peace talks between the Israelis and the palestinians and the status quo will continue for the forseeable future.
